Might contain the following:

1. Something to irrigate blood from wounds: Hydrogen Peroxide solution.
Just buy the brown bottles from the store. A medium sized one should fit neatly into the kit. If not, make room for it; it's an important element.

2. Something to bandage wounds: 4 x 4 Gauze Pads. Do not get rolls of ordinary gauze; get the 4 x 4 pads made by Johnson & Johnson. As many as you can afford to stuff in the kit--they are your mainline wound dressings.

3. Something to roll up around the bandages: KLING elastic roller bandage. There's nothing better for general purpose wrapping. You should be able to find it in the drugstore, or at Wal-Mart.

4. Splinting materials - Go to Home Depot and buy a piece of 1" x 4" lumber for a couple of bucks. Take it home and cut off a 16" piece of it with a hand saw. Put that in your kit. Order a cravat bandage offline. Here's an example: http://www.americarx.com/Products/29580.html

(Do not actually plan to use this stuff for splinting unless you have had first aid training of some sort. If not, skip it and just concentrate on bandaging basics.)

5: Burn dressing for serious burns: A can of ordinary shaving cream. You do not want greasy salves or anything that is rubbed on. You want a cheap can of shaving cream from Wal-Mart. Your objective is to cool the surface of the burn and block air and dirt from touching it, until a doctor or nurse can treat the burn victim.

6. Burn dressing for small burns: Zinc Oxide First Aid cream. It's the white creamy stuff in the little plastic tube.

7. Band-Aids. These are self-explanatory.

8. Snake bite kit: If you want one as a precaution. It will probably never be used.

9. Bottle of water - For rinsing or irrigating some wounds.

10. Small portable flashlight: I recommend a mini-maglite.

11. A strong pair of scissors. People who are seriously injured often need their pantslegs, belts, sometimes even boots, cut off.

12. The kit itself: I recommend buying a tool box from the hardware section, and filling it up with good bandaging supplies, instead of buying the little pre-packed first aid kits they sell in stores.

I'm an ex-paramedic--this is my opinion of what should go into a good trauma kit.

Today's video camera is the MORAL GUN we need at all times when you are out there... it could be as simple as someone nailed your car with a shopping cart, you call the cops, and you have it all on film.. oh hum if all goes well, great evidence for you if it does not go well... Or you could be out and catch a businessman or politician say something or just meeting at the local coffee shop...

Get a micro video camera that attaches to your baseball cap and make it look invisible or hard to see... and carry one in your hand.

But let me add about the Revolution... this is a FOREVER job. Because as Milton Friedman said, "The Natural State of Man is to live in Tyranny, not Freedom. It is a very rare thing that we live in an abundance of Freedom and we should never take that for granted"..... So the battle for Freedom is much like being inside a tent during a wind storm...a wind storm that likes to change directions on you. You must always be pushing back tyranny for freedom.... the cause of Freedom is NEVER WON.... because as Dr. Friedman pointed out, the tenancy of Man is to live in Tyranny.

So, its a long long marathon folks, its not something that will "build to a head" and the revolution wins the day, and then we can go back to other things that interests us... No. Mankind is not made that way. Learning to live in Freedom is "counter intuitive" and so it must be taught, shown, exampled for others to see...... So make the Liberty battle of keeping up the tent of freedom a daily task. But do not make it a 24/7 task. You will burn out and be no good to the rest of us. Be as full and complete a human being as you can be, grow and learn and read and love and play and work and be a patriot and be a wonderfully funny human being.... because in the end, you will be loved, respected and appreciated for ALL these things, not just one thing.

Uncle Sam is not going to put down another 'civil war' with US troops on the soil of the continental United States. People need to get that through their heads. The government and its dominant cabals/special interest groups have too much to lose, and the population is too heavily armed.

The primary reason it won't happen, however, is what you cited---US troops are not going to turn their guns on the American people. They will only do so in small isolated situations like Mt. Carmel in Waco. In a real war, they would rebel and split ranks if forced into that circumstance.

UN blue helmets can't do squat. The term 'sitting ducks' comes to mind.

Blackwater? There aren't enough of them to make a large dent, and they'd soon be disarmed, and habitating inside county jail cells. Those spiffy shotguns and special weapons would be impounded.

And what's the government game plan going to be after the first nuclear strategic bomber crew goes "rogue" and starts flying toward D.C.?

The government won't do a second civil war scenario. They will use all the bluff, psy ops, sophistry, and subterfuge they can to put it down, and that's considerable---but if it gets out of control, they are painted into a corner.

The British Military outranked india, had more weaponary, every single option was in favor of the british, and they lost india, because one man, stood up, and led a nonviolent rebellion. They lost to a man who didnt even have a gun.

In 1776 the largest and most powerful empire in the world..with the largest navy..and army was the British... they had more guns.. more firepower more $$ more food, more support here (most people still had an affection to the British), amd most of all bigger guns...and more of them (ie cannons,etc)

...us? we had a handful of weapons... had to make our own ammo.. and did not have the majority support of the citizens.

YET... we won .

I WILL THINK LIKE OUR FOUNDERS...AND THE COLONISTS THAT THEY CAME FROM... you however.. can sit this out.. and think like the defeatists that "stayed out " of the Revolutionary War.... its still a free country
