Update
I spoke with my niece and she said it was great! She said it brought chills to hear the large crowd cheer. She said there was over 1000 people. The crowd was loud and excited. My Dad spoke a long time and the crowd cheered the whole time. She was with my Mom and Dad and they really appreciated the crowd. She said the other event did not have as many people and they knew we were there. I know my Dad was being interviewed after the event, but I don't know how well the media covered the event.

Update on rally
Dr. Paul *Has a dream*
My daughter phoned at 4:45, to inform me that it is a little slow in starting, however their may be as many as 1000 supporters on hand -- apeared t be more people than what attended the *forum* with the other candidates. At the conclusion, the crowd will have a *Peace* parade down to a park.

Rally update
I just spoke with my niece in Iowa and they just met with about 100 volunteers for the rally and everybody is excited. I will update the info as I hear from the family.

Being John Iowa
I'm an Iowan and I know what I'm talking about. Here's the way it works:
1. Be polite with please and thank-you.
2. Don't get angry. That is considered really rude.
3. Wave to people you don't know. They freely talk to strangers too.
4. Don't send food back to a restaurant's kitchen unless it's really crappy.
5. Restaurant food is pretty crappy unless the restaurant is really high-end.
6. Don't complain about the fact that Midwestern gals don't wear much, if any, makeup.
7. Beer is big in Iowa, but they drink crappy beer as a rule.
8. Talk about the weather. Get in "Say, the corn looks a lot higher this week, for sure."
9. Ask everyone you meet what they do for a living. Don't tell anyone that you are a farmer if you are not.
10. Find and wear an Iowa Hawkeyes or Iowa State t-shirt.
Okay, now you're set for sure. Well, better go now. Nice to see you.
And tip well!
As a former server at a 4-star restaurant, I can tell you that when a celebrity, or anyone for that matter, tips poorly, we talked. To this day (this was back in the early 90's), I can remember the wealthy athletes who came through our steak house and the ones who were lousy tippers. Don't let it be said that Ron Paul's 'entourage' left a $5 on $50. Go with 20%, at least!
Have a great time and represent RP well!
Peace be with you.
