Hand signals, illuminati, alien abduction, oh my...

I left this board quite some time ago when I realized that it was fast degenerating into well, something that we have been accused of for quite some time. I check back in, to see if it has gotten better... And find that it has gotten much, much worse.

Did you know that when someone says I love you in sign language, they are really giving props to Satan?

Did you know that when someone licks their lips while talking, it means they are really a lizard man thing in disguise?

Did you know that aliens are harvesting us as a food source?

Did you know that everything has been planned by an elite group of people for thousands of years, meticulously carrying out the plans of their ancestors who they don't even have names for anymore?

Ironically, this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cargo_cult was posted on one of those sites posted here that was making reference to many of these insane theories.

See the irony in that? A "cargo cult" is a group, who lacking knowledge, fill in the blanks from their own personal understanding of the world regardless of how little sense or data is available to suggest it's plausibility.

When any complex or absurd motive is applied to those in power, beyond the real and tangible motives of greed, lust, and power, we all look ridiculous. Work with what you know, with facts, data and information. Throw out any speculative conclusions and replace it with honest, sincere and thoughtful questions.

People will take you more seriously, and maybe I can stop being ashamed that I am considered a part of the Revolution. Otherwise, you will fall firmly into the LaRouche category which everyone has so desperately tried to pin on us.

EDIT: P.S. I used to attribute the insanity to trolls at least. But given that the same people as before are posting regularly on these absurd topics, it indicates to me that they truly are probably RPers and just woefully misguided which is why I took the time to post this.
