Senate committee adds amnesty for 1.2 million illegal ag workers to Iraq spending

On a 17-12 vote this afternoon, the Senate Appropriations Committee added Sen. Feinstein's ag amnesty to the Iraq supplemental spending bill.

This bill could come up for a vote before the full Senate tomorrow.

Every phone of every Senator should be ringing off the hook as soon as I click SEND on this alert.

Please pick up your phone the minute you read this and call:

Call the offices of both of your state's U.S. Senators and tell them:

The Senate Appropriations Committee on Thursday afternoon committed an outrageous act of disrespect for our men and women in uniform and to the citizens of this country by attaching an illegal-alien amnesty to the Iraq spending bill.

Urge the Senator to vote and work to strip the amnesty from the Iraq spending bill on the floor.

You - or the Senator - may already oppose this spending bill. But if the Senator is inclined to vote YES on the Iraq bill, ask the Senator to definitely vote NO and send it back to committee if the amnesty is NOT stripped.

This morning on Cspan when

This morning on Cspan when they went to vote on this bill 130 Republicans voted present. Then they called a week recess, I want a week vacation.

At least the treachery was spotted.

Ag Workers

I've always wondered why we need immigrants for agriculture work. The prisons are full. People in jail around my area clean up trash from the roads. Rather than prisoners working out in the gym and watching TV, it seems to me they could be made to pick vegetables. Or would that be cruel and unusual punishment.

thank you, no

That's called slave labor and the prison-industrial complex is already profiting greatly from the indentured servitude of non-violent drug offenders.

Call my Senator's Office.

They took my opinion and info. The most I could do but I believe it does make some difference. At least they know we are watching them.

It is very important that we all take action on this!

This is why

We need to pass Downsize DC's one subject at a time act.

My liberty-minded home base of thought:

Freedom - Peace - Prosperity

the devil is in the details

the devil is in the details people! This is the SAVE act which includes e-verify. Do your homework before asking your rep. to support this. We need 'enforcement only' on immigration and can not approve a 'voluntary' federal program to verify ALL employees.

Trust in God, but tie your camel tight.

I called my 2 senators and also Senator Feinstein's office. The person answering Senator Feinstein's extension proceeded to correct me that it was not an amnesty attachment. It is to temporarily legalize ag workers. Uh, is that not the same thing?

Bump for Action

These are the things we need to know about. Riders and other BS on bills at the last minute are what we should be fighting. Lets take these looters to task and hold their feet to the fire.

What does "Ag" correlate to

What does "Ag" correlate to in this bill?

Rogue Government

Out of control. Their determined to sneak these folks in somehow, one way or another. Apparently, the phone lines being shut down inside of the Capital didn't sway 'em one bit during the day of votin' on the Amnesty. Sneakin' through another door, here they come.
