I prefer Mopars

And I am concerned about the erosion of our personal liberties leading to the eventual banning of older cars in our country. The socialists at the state levels are already making it difficult in some locales for people to own cars that don't have all the emissions equipment the government loves to foist on us.

Look at the volcano that went off in Chile. The whole history of automobiles has not produced an emission like that.

I suppose next the government will want to impose sanctions on vocanic activity?

Give me a break

Those were the go old

Mopar days. If you think that is bad, a few years ago a neighbor told me that they should charge people who have more bathrooms in their house and pay more taxes. Her reasoning they use more water. LOL I couldn't believe it. She had one bathroom with 4 people the woman down the street had three bathrooms but 1 person living there. Who do you think would uses more water? Things are out of control.

Convert it to Ethanol

Yesterday there was a post about an on site ethanol producing unit for $10k. makes fuel for about $1.25 gallon (I assume their lying so figure $2.50) but still its a good alternative.

All you have to due is replace all the rubber fuel components with alcohol rated stuff. Redline makes a fuel additive for alcohol that lubricates and counteracts the drying of alcohol.

Older MOPAR would take a few hours. Now that its on ethanol, lets jack up the compression and make some real power.

Ethanol is made from corn

and has proven more expensive to produce than gasoline. A better answer is to get the damn government out of the way of those who would produce and refine oil in THIS country. I hear India is building a BIG refinery over in their country. We haven't built a refinery in 32 years. The government needs to get out of the way.

Wrong!

Ethanol is made from sugar. Only our retarded government went with the process of converting corn to sugar. Its that conversion that runs the price up. The corn lobbyst pushed corn and got it. Everything in Brazil runs on Sugar Cane Ethanol and the cost to consumers is .42c per gallon.

The more money our governemt spends, the dumber they get.

i like

my old flathead fords. Rebuilding a 59ab right now for my model A coupe.

What is funny to me is, how can they justify having emissions testing in one state and no test in another?

They don't have to justify it

If the people allow such laws to pass then they allow themselves to be bound by them. The problem of overrestrictive laws will not be solved by government. It is up to the people to say 'enough is enough' and stop the intrusion of government into the smallest aspects of their daily lives. The best way to do this is to demand that large scale government interventions stop, and to remove representataives by the vote from office if they do not comply.
