Maryland, the Free State, NEEDS HELP!

If you are a voter in Maryland you have a 50/50 chance of being able to vote a Liberty Republican in to office. Half of the 8 races for Congress have a Ron Paul Republican running for office. All of these folks ran to be Ron Paul delegates.

Myself, Richard Matthews in the 2nd, ran one of the more popular meetup groups, organized a trip to NH with 3 others to campaign, and organized a republican registration drive so third party members could vote for Paul.

Peter James in the 4th helped with software and has run a local currency for several years. He has a special election coming up on June 17th and then gets to run again in the general

Collins Bailey in the 5th, organized our delegate slate in Maryland.

Mike Hargadon in the 7th, campaign hard for Paul, ran a meet-up and brought many Constitution Party members on board.

Success in the primaries is coming at a price however. Our core Maryland Ron Paul supporters have shifted to working and donating to these campaigns. However, we have not been able to coalesce as a larger group around one campaign like other states with only one or two candidates. Many are becoming burned out and tapped out financially with four campaigns to support. We have some who are taking formal roles in two or more campaigns, all while trying to maintain a day job to keep a roof over their head.

We are a small state with four candidates to support. We need help from national networks the grassroots have built to support these campaigns. Our candidates in Maryland are hard working dedicated citizen statesmen who are doing there damnedest to run as professional and competitive of a campaign as they can.

The Revolution asked for people to run for other offices. We have, we have won our primaries, and we need your help. We are all serious about seeing these races though to the finish. To be honest, we need money. In my campaign we have designs ready for signs, banners, bumper stickers. We have a TV and Radio commercial produced. But we do not have the money to print in any quantity or run the adds we have produced. A major effort is going into fund raising mailers and events, but we could really use a financial spark from the grassroots.
