Here is my take on it all.

The economic collapse was an equation figured out long ago.

The plan we see unfolding has been purposeful.

We will have a great depression that can ONLY be cured with the creation of a new currency... the Amero. Thus, they want the NAU to be hailed as the saviour of us all.

This was a cool map to look at. Lil confusing though.
