I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. Although the ticket would never happen, the way everyone attacks the poor poster is very un-Ron Paul like. I thought Ron Paul supporters were the most diverse and open-minded but you of the most hard-core support are confirming what my friends tease me about.
If I'm not mistaken, one of the biggest failures of the government that Ron Paul keeps bringing up is our foreign policy. During one of the many videos I watched on youtube, the interviewer pressed the good doctor to pick one of the 3 who may potentially have the best foreign policy. Although he qualified his answer by indicating that they are all about the same and they all stink, he did pick Obama. Yet I see other posts where folks are considering voting for McCain but they get nowhere near the slack that this guy got and I probably will get. Yikes... so much disappointment this year...
oh well.

how does a Socialist and a Constitutionalist mix? it can't happen. Obama is hellbent on destroying this country just like Hillary, and McCain are.

These people will be disappointed lot who make excuse after excuse for him and his administration. You think conservatives fell for Bush's brand of pretzel conservatism, then just wait for these soft hearted hopeful liberals & progressives to back bending turns to justify what President Obama does.

It seems deep seated in our Team Mentality. I have always been amazed at how a TEAM can be so loved but yet you can change its colors, change out the individual players, and even change the name, but through it all TEAM LOYALTY remains.... which just begs the question, what the heck is the team?

When one watches politics from afar, you can see these TEAMS trading ISSUES and positions on ISSUES like NBA basketball teams trades players.

Yet, Democrats stay loyal, Republicans stay loyal. Issues go the way of basketball players....soon hated when on the other team.

The most recent switch was Republicans under CLinton hating his foriegn adventures and getting our troops involved in Bosnia and Samolia ....only to see republicans SAY NOTHING when Bush left the in Bosnia, continued straight ahead with the Clinton plan, and even followed through on the Clinton Iraq Regime change plan. Republicans now Cheer when Bush gets us involved in foreign "entanglements".

Let me also point out, that from afar... the political hills that remain UN OCCUPIED territory are very potent and interesting. The democrats have sold out the PEACE MOVEMENT and the Repubilcans have sold out the SMALL GOVERNMENT MOVEMENT. The Democrats claim the Better Government Managers Hill, and the Republicans are digging in to claim the Protect America Hill. Yet unclaimed political hills remain there for the taking inside the American Landscape. Sitting unexploited is the Green hill, the Voluntary Community hill, the Love thy neighbor hill, the Can-Do Entrepenuer Hill, the Small Government (Police, Courts, & Military Defense only) hill, the Prosperity Hill, and many others. Yet the hill most important, I think, is the Private Property Hill. Who ever takes it, really needs to preach it like a black southern preacher...as a last ditch savior to our culture. The culture is ripe for its message of salvation from corruption and sin...respecting private property from the the smallest of things to the biggest. Do we not want elementary schools from he top down and the bottom up, from east to west, all preaching the gospel to Respect Private Property? Do we not want our children from Kindergarden on hear that message day in and day out? Do we not want schools that EXPECT that if someones book bag or sweater or wallet is left behind, that it is turned into lost and found? Do we not want little children NOT taking what is NOT theirs? Do we not want each young American to be CULTURALIZED to respect private property to SUCH A HIGH DEGREE, that if and when they walk the halls and sidewalks of life and they find $$$, they will walk right by saying to themselves, "Thats not mine, I hope the owner finds it". ......rather than "loosers keepers..." From the playground to the boardroom, a deep respect for private property, STARTING with the property we have in ourselves, our bodies, must be deeply respected. When a 14 year gets the opportunity to take drugs, his/her response should be, "NOT in MY precious body! I am no looser". That last bit, looser, may seem harsh but I believe it is needed more than anything, especially today with a Prison/hip hop culture that makes drug dealing pimping and using all so cool. The Culture must change, and indeed the best Moral Mountain top to do this from, in my opinion, is from the moral high ground of RESPECT for Private property, starting with one's own body & mind.

This respect, for one's own body and mind, is the Moral High ground that no peak rises above. For to respect one's own body and mind means Love of Self, Love of others, Love of Peace, Love of Human Individuality, Love of Entrepenuership, Love of thy neighbor, love of Planet earth...

That is a message the Obama people need to hear from us. Let them know which moral mountain you stand on....
