Get rid of a neocon in Utah
Congressman Chris Cannon is the neocon poster boy in Utah. At the Utah State Convention he played a video of himself with Dick Cheney; a written endorsement by Bush; and a clip of senators Hatch and Bennett endorsing him. He is the establishment candidate and surprisingly, he lost all three rounds at our convention. But, we came up less than 10 votes from getting rid of him, there. So it is going to a primary within 5 weeks.
Jason Chaffetz is the one who beat him and he did so by delivering a traditional conservative speech. There were no platitudes, like another opponent who spent tons more money. He talked about how he ran his campaign with less money than the favorites, and how he is not in debt like the others and his fiscal conservatism, in general. Jason is a RP supporter though he doesn't know it yet. His policies and principles are 80-90% in line with RP. Let's treat him to the r3volution and let him know that he owes his election to us, and that he should never piss us off. Let's let him know that we will fight for him, unceasingly as long as he stays true to the old-fashioned conservatism he talks about.
PLease help us out here in Utah we are so close!

Sorry but his foreign policy is garbage
"Middle East. We must continue to protect our interests in the Middle East and help defend our allies in the region. This includes continuing to apply diplomatic pressure on rogue governments like Syria and Iran, promoting peace and democracy in Iraq, and insuring the defense and security of Israel. "
Ron Paul has said that foreign policy and economic policy is the two most important issues.
That quote is taken from Jasons own homepage.
If he would TRULY change his position on this issue and not just because he thinks thats what the people want to hear PLUS if he educates himself about the Federal Reserve and to abolish it then he would be 100% Ron Paul Candidate.
But the issue of Foreign Policy is too important to be ignored. Ron Paulers cannot vote for this guy, it would be an insult to our intelligence.
His stand on Foreign policy is plain ignorant.
Educate him on it and the Federal Reserve and if he truly changes his mind about these two things then yes, vote for him, support him, volunteer, campaign, etc.
Chaffetz Must Run Adversarial Primary
It is my sincere believe that if Chaffetz is to have any real shot at defeating the entrenched incumbent, he MUST run an adversarial campaign against Cannon. Cannon's neo-con voting record must be brought up. He must be called to task for his voting record.
The Cannon campaign is definitely going to bring up the fact that Jason was THE LEADER of the byu DEMOCRAT organization.

maybe someone here would like to send him the new book
Something that needs to be looked into further
Jason said he is found of and thankful of Jon Huntsman Jr. who in 2006 stated he supported McCain and still does. So my concern is that his mentor "Jon Hunstman Jr." is a retard just like McCain.
If you are a Utah resident, go meet him, dig further and then ask the RP peeps to come on board. See what he has to say about McCain.
I am not bagging on your guy, just asking for more info.
Jason's relationship with the Huntsmans
At http://www.jasonforcongress.com/meetjason.html it says the following about Jason's relationship with the Huntsmans: "My mother passed away in 1995 after a long fight with cancer. About that time, I recall being deeply touched by the overwhelming generosity of the Huntsman family in fighting cancer. Their commitment was more than words, they personally donated hundreds of millions of dollars to fight cancer."
In his recent convention speech, Jason said, "Jon Huntsman, as much as I like you, you're wrong on global warming," to which the delegates applauded greatly. Jason also disagrees with Huntsman's positions of being soft on illegal immigration and subsidizing a Major League Soccer stadium in Utah.

I think by persistence and education we can convince quite a few good candidates to be a Ron Paul candidate! Ron needs some help in Congress!
I don't live in his district, but in Congress RON PAUL represents ME!
