Bush and McCain
Do NOT support the troops !
...And, yes, I have seen The Constitution
If they ever find out about...
If they ever find out about how he was brain washed as a POW, then the old ones would not like him either.
He is a sick old man who mocks the Constitution. You think Bush and Cheney were bad; this guy will be much worse.
He led the effort not to rescue our POWs. Had to protect how he was given special treatment. Disappeared for around two years; where did he go; what did they do to him.
Whatch the Utube on how he verbally beats up a wife of a missing POW; the real John McCain in action.
He has no conscience so he can kill all the inocent people and not feel bad about it.
The old POW's
dont' like McCain either, believe me. There is a large group of them throughout the U.S. that know what McCain did, and they know the truth, that is why they refer to him as "Songbird McCain"
People wake up, please do not even think about going Republican if this McCaniac is the Nominee, write in Ron Paul or go Third Party please.
Excuse me the old vets hate McCain the most
and they have a right to. If you research his treatment of vets throughout his career you will wonder why the guy hasn't been swift boated. Oh yea! That's right the media likes McCain......scum is as scum does.
Unify
My 2 cents
I suggest that the vets not hold their breath waiting to get results. The 911 responders are still holding their breath wait their not holding their breath, they can't breath. How about Katrina victims and all the empty promises.
When will we GET IT what does it take for people to realize, the gov. doesn't care about you or me or anyone but them. Just watch taxes raise and so will their salary because they are so oooo important and we are clueless.

Congress
gives themselves raises all the time, our military damn sure deserves to get a raise. Our veterans also signed up for a war that was supposedly not going to take six years +, if they have to fight more, they should be compensated.
Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine
The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!
Think about it..
when was the last time you received a raise, and was it the same percentage that our government officials received, my guess would be that your answer is "NO". Please stop voting for the same people, let's clean up the White House, and get rid of the waste, our government has overgrown our economy, and we can no longer afford it. We need to pass a bill someway, somehow, that will make it illegal for a Congressman, or Senator to even have a conversation with a Lobbyist. I believe all Lobbyists should be banned, and if a government official is even seen with any of these slimball Lobbyists they will be charged with treason, and punished accordingly. What do you all think?
Were these young vets not
Were these young vets not given what they were promised? Or are they simply asking for more than they bargained for? It almost seems as if they are asking for more.
I do feel bad when soldiers are injured in war, but don't these people become soldiers in return for sign-on bonuses, a guaranteed paycheck and the other perks that come along with being in the military? Many of them do.
I'm not against benefits for members of the military, but I do have somewhat of a problem with people agreeing to a deal and then expecting to gain more and more after having to do the job they were compensated for.
I would much rather we not even be over in Iraq, because it's unconstitutional, but that's another story altogether...
...
Each one of our military members is given...
the opporturnity to have their college education paid for via the G.I. Bill, and that is not much for what they have had to endure. I went through the program, and I gave to my country, I was indeed given that promise to have my education paid for, just as every recruit is given when they sign up, but you might have to sign up for a longer period of time. Yes, we are guaranteed this with a contract but you must negotiate it, and have them put it in writing, or the government will weasel out of it if they can, it is no different than any other contract. Most of the military is given the opporturnity, but you as a military member have to make it happen, or you will fall by the way side.
All veterans should be compensated better...
I don't have a problem with any veteran asking for more money or benefits. They don't ever get enough as it is.
As a former military man myself, I can assure you, those sign on bonuses and extra "perks" as you call them don't amount to any more than what you could get applying yourself in the civilian world.
After 5 years of service, 2 years of school and 3 years in and out to sea on a ballistic missile submarine, was making about $28,000. This was in the 1990's. I had moved up in rank as fast as one could, and I was paid extra because I lived off base. There were many guys on board who had been in the Navy for 10-15 years that still didn't make that much.
We got free medical care, but just like you think government health care would be... it's not the best in the world.
I got a sign on bonus, but after taxes it amounted to about $15,000... and that was astronomical for those days. I went into the nuclear power program, so I got a big bonus. Still, they paid it out spread out over the years I was in, so it didn't really feel like a big bonus. If you don't serve your entire time, you have to pay it back.
That's all you get for risking your life to fight these wars that these elites decide we should be fighting.
Plain and simple.
Iraq Vets don't like McCain anymore than Vietnam Vets liked Kerry.

Here we go...
And so it begins.
