November 5th fun

Ron said to have fun, so let's see who comes closest to the donation number on the 5th. It may inspire people with the higher bids to donate more and keep it going until there number is achieved....at least.

My guess: $2,363,000

Revising my guess: $3,417,600 on 11/02

Chickens?

or sissies? Only 2 hours to submit your guess for the total collected on the 5th. Maybe nobody here likes a challenge! :)

Less than a day to submit your guess.

Many interesting guesses and calculations out there. What does your logic tell you.....or your crystal ball?

Over 70,000 Ron Paul myspace

Over 70,000 Ron Paul myspace site friends have been contacted about November 5th.

At this moment there are over 16,000 people on www.thisnovember5th.com pledged to donate AT LEAST $100.

By November 5th there should be 20,000 pledges, that's $2 MILLION.

Say that out of the 70,000 plus mysace people 35,000 pledge $100, that's $3.5 MILLION....

Add this to the other $2 million and you've got about $5.5 MILLION....

Hmm....

im gonna say

2,936,500 hope im wrong by alot..........

I calculate

30-50,000 times $100.00 - 500.00 = 3 - 25 mil

Anyone else...

thinking of taking that day off and watching the money roll in? LOL.

This is gonna be big. My guess $2.2 million although anything over $1.5 is considered a success in my book.

Totally! I will be

Totally! I will be refreshing the numbers on my Treo all day long.

Is

there any supposed time during the day to donate?
Or can I donate at will?

I'll take a stab at it ..........

....... I will guess 4,885,279

10,000,000.01

10,000,000.01

$5,384,236

just a number I pulled out of the same thin air from which a federal reserve note is created.

LOL, you raise an

LOL, you raise an interesting question. Are we talking about Fed notes, or their actual value thereof? Should the Paul campaign start asking for silver dollars, like Michael Badnarik does for his Constitution class? http://www.archive.org/details/Michael_Badnarik

Badnarik!

Badnarik is great! Hope he gets consideration as a running mate.

5% of people make things happen
10% of people watch things happen
85% say "What happened?"

I agree that there are few

I agree that there are few people who would be a better choice. Sadly, I don't think it would be prudent. The media would rake Badnarik over the coals for things he has said (including in that class I linked above), and it would reflect poorly on Paul.

But again, I personally would love to see Badnarik as veep, if only the media weren't constantly trying to mangle the first amendment (see Dog the Bounty Hunter for latest example of this -- and no, I don't endorse what he said, only his right to say it without being vilified. Heck I'm even against that $11M settlement against those "God Hates Fags" kooks, even though they disgust me. OK I'm rambling...).

Haha, I wouldn't put it past

Haha, I wouldn't put it past the MSM to try drawing a connection to Satan if that happened. They have nothing of substance to hit Paul with, might as well try the Prince of Darkness.

$7.8 million

11/5 subscribers = $2 million
45-50K meetup members = $1.5-3.5 million (non-11/5 subscribers)
?% of the ~180K (projected) visitors to 11/5 website = $1-10 million

11/5 subscriber money will not be a surprise.

45-50K meetup members (60K less 10-15K subscribers) will manage to give between $25 to 75/person on average.

The non-subscriber 11/5 visitors (180K = 250K visitors less 50K members less 20K subscribers) are a big unknown. If only 2% (3.6K) of these visitors give $100 each, that's $360,000. 5% (9K) = $900,000.

So, $3.6 million MINIMUM. If subscribers give as promised, meetup members donate $50/person, and 15% of visitors donate $100, I say $7.8 million. Yay! :)

Uh, this is just based on

Uh, this is just based on some rough projections and guestimations in my head, so I hope I'm way low, but my "calculations" say $1,850,000, give or take $20K.

Have a little fun.

Fun with spread sheets....

OK Dr. Paul, I just had fun. I'm in for $500 myself personally and a quick spread sheet that I whipped up shows that things could range from 2.9M to 4.1M as I vary the percentage of people signed up for $100, $200, etc. That's not even counting the "X Factor" as people below have stated--that there's probably scads of people that might donate that don't want to "sign up" (I might even get my mother to donate, but I doubt she'd ever sign her e-mail up ...). So yeah, if we get a decent percentage of people that are donating above the pledged $100, then we could be in for a really fun day to experience.

:)

Please set expectations low

It's like what Scotty did on Star Trek to be a "Miracle Worker":

If you expect to be done in 2 hours, say you'll be done in 4. That way if something goes wrong and it takes you 2.5 hours, you look like a hero!

So set expectations low, and be amazed by what we end up with. I say we get 1.5 million!!!

2,185,450

If we get 20,000 donors, that is 1 every 4 seconds. Some of us better stay up late and donate at 3 am.

We will have 20,000 pledgers by Monday

My guess 11,652,203

At just $500 each we will hit $10 million in one day and over $12 million for the quarter in just 5 weeks.

I know $500 sounds like a lot. But just think, an army of 20,000 people can take down the IRS and the Fed and end the war on this coming Monday if you just decide it is done. Whatever you got to do just do it. Find that $500 from friends and family, borrow if you have to. If you don't borrow the money our government will. Just think find a way to give $500 Monday and its GAME OVER.

The magnifying glass of freedom is upon your gift this Monday November 5th.

CHARGE!!!!

$4,500,000

Yes I know it's USD. But still it's a good chunk of money. :D

Anyways, that's my guess. I'm however hoping for 8 million.

I'm going to modify my guess

It was WAY too low. The signup list slowed down for a day or two, but it has really started jumping again. I'm going with *drumroll*

4,157,843 CAD

which by the time November 5th rolls around should be... what? 8,000,000 USD?
