!!!!! I am seriously shaking I am so excited!!! I can barely type!

See, when I first found out about Ron Paul, I was in school in Chicago.... I believe it was that very day/week that he came to Chicago... and I didn't know so I never got to see him.... Then, at the end of the semester/recently he was in Ft. Wayne, IN. I was willing to make the trip there to see him, but I had classes/finals that I couldn't miss.

He was also here in Minnesota at one time when I was here, but I couldn't make it to see him....

BUT NOW!! I am at my parent's house for the summer, and I just heard it confirmed he is coming here to Rochester, MN on FRIDAY!!!!! I will do whatever it takes to go see/hear him speak!!

I really hope I can get him to autograph my copy of his book/shake his hand.... haha, maybe I should try and give him the portrait I painted of him (I don't know if anybody remembers that post...) hahaha...

I Got to Shake His Hand!

Ron Paul just came to Phoenix, last Thursday. It was awesome! Afterward, I waited in a looonnggg line to shake his hand. It was worth the wait! We were asked to only shake his hand (no time for autographs), so I didn't have time to say much, but I did get in, "Would God you were President!"

Interestingly, Ron Paul drew a huge crowd inluding the Chairman of the Arizona State Republican Party and the second vice-Chair, while John McCain cancelled a planned meeting and moved it to a private home.

Yea! the neocons are hiding like cockroaches when lightbearers like Dr. Paul come to town!

Heh...they do tend to skitter about when we show up, don't they?! ;)

I grok ya!

Voice, I totally understand your enthusiasm! Just a few days ago was my turn to meet RP for the first time -- I actually did get to give him a hug!!! -- and the night before the event, I was so excited, I couldn't even sleep. So I ended up posting something on DP at, like, 4:30 in the morning!

If you're not already asleep, go drink some warm milk and catch those ZZZZZs!! This is an experience you'll never forget!!!!

i actually do need to go to

i actually do need to go to bed... I have an interview in the morning... but I'm staying up to watch the Idaho results and keep them updated here... but Dr. Paul isn't coming until Friday morning, so I have plenty of time to prepare....

I'm actually really worried about what I should say if I get to meet him... I'm terrified I'd say something really lame and create an awkward moment... hahaha... say something like "You're my hero." and get no response... hahahaha

Star Struck

You know, it's really funny you should say that. For years, I worked in the entertainment industry, and regularly rubbed shoulders with and helped prepare contracts involving "big names" (including the one who's now the Governator), and I never understood the fascination that people had with "stars" or "celebrities;" why people would fawn over them and want maps to the stars' homes and such. I'd shake my head in wonder; after all, those "stars?"...they're just people...sheesh...

...then I came face-to-face with Ron Paul. And all I could do was tremble and blurt out, "God bless you!" and "Thank you!!!!". Brilliant speech, fanofwalt. But he was as gracious as you would expect.

In the few moments before he stepped up onto the dais, I swear I felt like a groupie at a rock concert.

the next chance to see him will be my fifth.

i think we all understand the intense emotions flying.

i was in a "narnes and boble book sellers" store unfortunately tonight.
there was a book of fort worth, texas photographs.
by mcgown i think? from tcu?

my hand went to the back few pages where there's a two page spread of jfk talking to people outside the hotel he stayed in the night before dallas.

knowing that i had walked with ron down main last september at the texas straw poll - right past that hotel off main st......

i despise knowing that i can walk right through history and, ultimately, take none of it with me.

I've met him on two occasions. He is truly a lovely human being.

Frankly ...

I'm penning a letter to the editor about how many carbon units McCain's private jet burns up to get here.

Have a great time !

There is nothing more refreshing then a good dose of Dr. Paul :-)

People worldwide support Dr. Paul too

Real eyes realize real lies

We want our country back

Every year is a year for Ron Paul!

I'll see you there!

I am excited as well... can't wait! He will be speaking before the convention starts, and I am a delegate so I get to be there for sure!!!

I do find it interesting that Norm Coleman will be giving a breakfast that morning at the same time... I think it is the GOP's way of finding out for sure who the supporters are that they aren't sure of... if you aren't at the breakfast, you are probably listening to Ron Paul. Gee, which to choose... like there really is a question there!

I myself am in Ohio visiting relatives and I drove to PSU in Pennsylvania to see him speak. Awesome that he came to you!!!!! You will never forget it. He almost always sticks around and takes pictures and sign autographs, make sure you at least get him in a photo with you.

there will not be time

for autographs and pictures. I was at a meeting about this the other night, and while I can't really say much about the meeting, I can say that when he finishes it will be time for the convention to start. He will be walking into the convention hall with the delegates (or something like that) and we were told not to bug him for pics and autographs because they need to keep him moving. Sorry about that...
