The Jack/Dirt on Dick

info provided by a regional reporter:

"Dick Wadhams is a good ol' boy from Las Animas [Colorado]. You recall the last U.S. senate campaign he managed for the GOP in Virginia frittered away a 14 point lead and lost to new Sen. Jim Webb. (Or maybe he is from Maryland)

He has a cute arm candy girlfriend who is very articulate and up on education issues.

Wadhams is a perennial campaign manager and does not like the day to day management of routine stuff. He has already reduced his state chair duties to work on the campaign of Schaeffer.

Never forget that most of these GOP "leaders" are in it for a job and perks for them. They have no principles. None whatsoever. Their blind continuing support of the Iraq war says it all."

Dick,
Thank you for responding. According to what is being present[ed] to be voted on I am not the one being irresponsible.

Your people would be of better service to America if they read and follow the Constitution - assuming the rule of law means anything to the old GOP. Judging from actions rather than words one would understand it means nothing to those folks. I hope you and the other delegates don't count yourselves among them.

Dale, I wouldn't personally attack you as "careless, ignorant or maybe just asleep" but perhaps you don't understand the process.  The resolutions that will be voted upon by delegates to the Colorado Republican State Convention and Assembly this weekend were selected by a Resolutions Committee that I appointed.  Their charge was to take the literally hundreds of resolutions debated and approved in precinct caucuses and county conventions and boil them down to a representative number for state convention delegates to consider.  Of course there are resolutions that contradict each other but it is up to the delegates to decide whether they approve of the resolutions or not.  Maybe you ought to understand the process before you take irresponsible shots at me and the Colorado Republican Party.

Very good, Tony. Some other people caught those contradictions too. The Colorado GOP appears to be careless, ignorant or maybe just asleep - or maybe they think the rest of us are stupid. Maybe that is why they hate the Ron Paul people - because we don't lay down and blindly go along with their unthought out programs.

This message is being CC'd to Wadhams - a good look in the mirror might wake him up?

Some of these are good; some are schizo:

1. It is resolved that Colorado Republicans fully support the United States in winning the war on terrorism and furthermore support the brave men and women of our Armed Forces in defense of the United States.
2. It is resolved that Colorado Republicans re-affirm adherence to the principal that the United States will pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, and oppose any foe, to assure the survival of our republic and freedom.
Does this mean support of the endless "war on terror?"

19. It is resolved by Colorado Republicans that life begins at conception.
20. It is resolved that Colorado Republicans support overturning Roe v. Wade.
21. It is resolved by Colorado Republicans that pregnancy, abortion and birth control are personal private matters not subject to government regulation or interference.
#21 is mutually exclusive of #19 & #20-

This is NOT all from Ron

This is NOT all from Ron Paul Republicans. It was passed by many Neo Cons...

But some of the Neo Cons agreed with some things..

So it is a start.

Wish us luck this weekend..We have a battle ahead of us in Colorado.

Peace,

Liberty Girl

Thank you for your comment,

1. It is resolved that Colorado Republicans fully support the United States in winning the war on terrorism and furthermore support the brave men and women of our Armed Forces in defense of the United States.

vs

34. It is resolved by Colorado Republicans to support, defend, and enforce the literal meaning and original intent of the United States Constitution.

What you believe to be true, is true to you... "until you change your mind"

More contradiction

1. It is resolved that Colorado Republicans fully support the United States in winning the war on terrorism and furthermore support the brave men and women of our Armed Forces in defense of the United States.

vs.

3. It is resolved that Colorado Republicans support a balanced federal budget.

The GOP everywhere has

The GOP everywhere has allowed itself to become too cozy with people bent on destroying our Constitution using all means at their disposal. I say to them, "go to hell".

Colorado GOP Disenfranchises Republican Voices

Most of these I've never seen. We passed an anti-NAFTA and anti-NAU resolution in lots of counties.

One member of the Denver GOP Executive Committee said our resolutions would not be passed up -- even though the language in the resolution, voted on by the County Central Committee, specifically said to forward the resolution on to State.

Vice-Chairman of the Denver GOP told me emphatically that the resolutions passed at County would be sent to State -- looks like that was a lie (another lie in a long list from the Denver GOP).

The reason is because Dick Wadhams (Colorado GOP Chair) appoints a Resolution Committee to determine what resolutions should be passed on.

I'd like to ask Dick et al what about the voices of the Denver Central Committee members? What about the voices of the Adams Central Committee members?

This list is a joke -- pay any price to defend the Republic?

Yesterday John McCain referred to our country as a Constitutional Democracy and then said "nuclear" about 60 times (literally) in his foreign policy scare speech. Video coming soon.

Platform in NV

At the now recessed NV State Convention, we had passed a platform before the gavel fell and it was quite magnificent. Most of the goodies we Revolutionaries would want, so when the nominations for delegates in the districts started to go Ron Paul's way, too...the plug was pulled. If a reconvenence is called, you can bet the vote will begin again or they won't agree to restart would be my guess. Nasty, dirty business politics.
What the two parties and participation in them effectively does, is allow those at the top to vote and make choices for We The People....it's rigged.

IT'S DOABLE

Oh yah, the Denver GOP

Oh yah, the Denver GOP District Captain who said they wouldn't be passed up resigned after I called him out. The Denver GOP leadership and this District Captain (Fred Wulff) lied to Central Committee Members regarding the location of a meeting to supervise vote counts.

I've tried to unify the GOP here but not when we have unethical people in leadership who believe the RP people are "dangerous".

Most of these resolutions

are outside the purview of legitimate government and are in fact socialism, fascism and extension of the nanny state.

Where is the resolution to get out of Iraq?
Where is the resolution to eliminate fraudulent taxes and bogus money?

When they make it a crime to violate the Constitution and individual's rights then I will lend my support. Anything else is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic....

We had all those resolutions

We had all those resolutions at our County Assembly. Most passed with flying colors. However, due to some unknown to me reason most of those resolutions were not forwarded to the State for consideration. I wasn't on the resolutions committee or anything but from what I understand the way the resolutions were written, they didn't require the local GOP to forward the resolutions to the State. Apparently only one of the resolutions was written correctly and therefore we are only sending one of the resolutions on. And I don't even remember the resolutions (and there were lots of them) so for all I know the one and only resolution that is being forwarded from our County was one that was drafted by the GOP.

EDIT -- I didn't see Ryan's post right below this. Ryan probably has more information on the situation than I do.

Exactly

And they want us to pledge our continued support to the Republican party even if Ron Paul does not end up with the nomination. I plan to attend the CD and State assembliies this weekend, but from what I've seen, the GOP might as well slap on the swastika armbands and call themselves Nazis. The mean-spirited directives come from the RNC and their faithful, mindless minions throughout the land march along in lock-step. How can a freedom- and liberty-minded patriot, in good conscience, support that BS?

I think you should tell them

I think you should tell them that line about the armbands. AND earmark elimination will keep money from the STATES! That is ridiculous as well..

I'll have 15 seconds at the microphone

during the State assembly since I am a candidate for delegate to the national convention. If I'm feeling froggy, I might just use my 15 seconds to remind the GOP faithful how the German people rolled over for Hitler and the nazis.

when is you convention again...

and is Dr. Paul coming to speak??

May 31st

Last I heard Mitt Romney would be the keynote speaker and Ron Paul, despite multiple requests, would not be allowed to speak.

Mitt Romney

If Mitt Romney's speech is anything like the one he gave in Nevada, he will bore you to tears. He seemed very uncomfortable with his new lemming role, told trite jokes, and was not at all inspiring. Well, look who he is stumping for...McCain. I can only figure he has been promised VP or a cabinet position to allow his grand self to be put in this position.

IT'S DOABLE

the one about The Constitution

had to be a Ron Paul supporter, basically gave us the rest of our goals in one resolution without having to cross some red tape with the other delegates, I love it. Keep up the great work.

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

We voted on similar resolutions at our County assembly

I was shocked by how many of the resolutions were overwhelmingly supported by the delegates.

Cowards often resort to the

Cowards often resort to the thin protection of patriotism when pushed.
