Idea: How about a Ron Paul T-Shirt day?

So we need a way to get lots of publicity, the more people who know about Ron Paul, the better. With Idaho getting 24% I think Ron Paul's base is still growing, so how can we get more people in?

My suggestion: Wear a Ron Paul T-shirt day.

Basically we'd choose a specific day where every Ron Paul supporter wears a T-shirt promoting Ron Paul and goes out somewhere. i.e. Goes for a walk around town, goes to their local shops or shopping mall and walks around into every shop. The idea would be to get visibility in public.

If we can get all the million people who voted for Ron Paul to do it, then you'll have a lot of people out and about wearing the shirts. (approx 1 in every 100-300 people) This will cause people to really take notice "Hey there are a lot of people wearing Ron Paul shirts... I wonder who he is...." It would also show a lot of supporters of McCain and Obama (those who we have a good chance of winning over) that Ron Paul has a lot of supporters and supporting him isn't "a lost cause".

What does everyone think about this? Ideas, comments, suggestions?

UPDATE: I've made a website, current it has a general outline of the idea, links to where you can get shirts, and a poll on when to have it. See: http://www.WearARonPaulShirtDay.com/

I have five RP t-shirts....

I already wear one-a-day during the work week (I have my own floor sanding company). I should have them all worn out by the time the election rolls around!
If you decide to have it on a weekend, let me know. I'll pick up another t-shirt.
I hear they're selling them off on RP2008.com. $25 will get you a bag full of stuff now!
Just in time for DC.
Go get'em RP.

I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...

I was just thinking of going back for another grab bag, and wouldn't you know:

I'm getting some good

I'm getting some good feedback on this and the other sites. I might put up a simple webpage to co-ordinate the effort! If people have more ideas, comments, suggestions, post them here!

Consider this....

Make it more than just ONE DAY.....Make it a weekly wardrobe requirement! Say...on Saturdays, while the majority of us are running our errands.

Hey, can you post links to your

fav. T's ?

How about every Friday?

Well I was thinking about

Well I was thinking about what days we could do, but I think a lot of people who work during the week won't be able to wear a normal T-shirt to work... So I was thinking of suggesting a Saturday?

Every week would be great too, but I think if we highlighted 1 specific day where the million people wore the shirts, it'd be rather effective. I don't think we'd get everyone doing it every week, but I'm sure we could still get a lot, so it could be effective as well!
