Blowback at Republican Minnesota State Convention - Karl Rove could give Paul more delegatesSubmitted by bedr1 on Thu, 05/29/2008 - 00:49
Karl Rove will appear at the Minnesota Republcian State Convention this weekend. He was suppose to counter the appearance of Ron Paul, but actually his appearance might backfire and cause more delegates to go the way of Presidential candidate Ron Paul.
Rove's timing is terrible, a book by former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan tells all about how the effort to go to war in Iraq was all propaganda by Rove and Bush.
McClellan writes that Bush and his team sold the Iraq war by means of a "political propaganda campaign" in which contradictory evidence was ignored or discarded, caveats or qualifications to arguments were downplayed or dropped and "a dubious al-Qaida connection to Iraq was played up.
"We were more focused on creating a sense of gravity and urgency about the threat from Saddam Hussein than governing on the basis of the truths of the situation," McClellan wrote.
McClellan says that Karl Rove was the mastermind behind the lies and propagand to go to war in Iraq.
When Rove heads to Minnesota, I wouldn't be shocked if he receives the cold shoulder.
I would suggest printing up flyers with quotes from the book about what Rove did and passing them out and hanging them up all over the convention.
