Believe in Miracles
I know we have many atheists in our movement. But for those of you that believe we are not alone, here is one good example I place in evidence.
My atheist campaign manager and I were putting up 'Google "Money as Debt" ' signs. We placed one on a freeway overpass and managed to get a second one up near a moderately traveled intersection. The wind was fairly heavy, so we decided to quit. This was on Monday, Memorial Day. Our 'Google "Money as Debt" ' signs have no mention of my campaign.
I received a call on Wednesday morning from the Washington Post political reporter that covers our race(MD 4 CD). She wanted to know if the "Money as Debt" sign was related to my campaign or not. I admited it was ours.
What she said next floored me !
She said, she was sitting in her office and had been staring at this sign out her window for the last two days. She pulled up the video the day before, just to get a flavor of it, and ended up watching the entire video. She was now calling to ask for an interview. I am meeting her this Monday.
Prior to this, the Washington Post, a Democratic strong hold, had barely mentioned me in the paper.
Of all the places we could have placed that sign, we managed to place it right where, possibly, the most influencial person could not just see it, but see it continuely throughout the day.
Believe or not believe as you choose, but I for one am glad to have that one extra member on my team.
Having faith in a higher power will bring miracles. I am written off by the main stream media and my opponent due to the heavily Democratic district, yet I feel that if it is his will, God will find a way to reveal the truth to the people.
I keep telling my atheist campaign manager that prehaps the purpose of my race is not getting me elected, but for him to experience these miracles with me and find faith. Prehaps it is a test of my faith.

I echo that I fight for
your constitutional rights not to believe. When I at 1st read this post, I could see very clearly that it had went many hours without one post answering it. I thought at the beginning that the "Heart" of the matter was there, but was not very eloquently stated. I then was about to leave then I decided to go to the election website to see for myself for what and how this candidate stands on the constitutional issues. Sometimes, we as constitutional americans must look for the larger picture, even though sometimes it maynot be conveyed articulately very well. If one were to think about this, Peter James , for the most at least has someone he is working side by side with "constitutionally" that he doesnot agree with on certain matters. This person apparently being his manager. His heart appears to be there for the U.S. constitution and americas continued freedoms and liberties..I will state that how the message is conveyed most certainly is "Core" but the U.S. Constitution is The "Core" to the actual and True message. Go to the site and see for yourself.
Why do you care if your friend finds "faith?"
Do you understand that there are people (like me) who are willing to fight and die for your right to be a Christian, and I am constantly verbally assaulted by these very people I would defend because they want me to abandon my love of fact and reason and embrace "faith." Faith involves believing in things that cannot be proven, and it is the PERFECT place for power-hungry liars to insert their garbage. Do you know what it is like to try to have a CONSTITUTIONAL discussion about abortion? It cannot be done. Everyone wants to talk about how their god feels about abortion. We AGREE that Roe vs Wade is unConstitutional, why isn't that enough? I am unwilling to discuss MORAL issues at the political table. Our movement would have liberals running to join if we could keep the discussions to what is RIGHT and WRONG and not worry about the fate of each others' souls. You will NEVER convince me that it is moral to force a rape victim to risk her life and happiness and force her to use her genetic material to perpetuate the genetics of her rapist. How ANY of you "Pro-life at all costs" people find that to be moral high ground is PROOF to me that you stop being rational when the word "abortion" is mentioned. I actually had one of these guys say she could have justice by pulling the switch on the rapists electric chair. That is so absurd - life is so sacred we will force her to carry the child, but she gets to kill the father because his life is no longer so sacred, but his child's life is. Now she gets to raise it as a single parent, or put it up for adoption and spend the rest of her life wondering if the child will knock on her door one day and ask who it's daddy is. This is the VICTIM's life you want to ruin or else condemn her to hell if she is not emotional up for dealing with a pregnancy of a rapist. This is the kind of twisted thinking "faith" brings.
Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.
I'm not sure I should
I'm not sure I should respond to this thread, it is straying from our purpose to be united in order to support Ron Paul.
You have expressed your views, and you have a perfect right to. I'm not going to say you are wrong, but it is different than how I feel.
Once, as a young woman I held your views, but decades later my views/beliefs have changed. At that time I could not have been swayed by a more "conservative/religious" point of view. It would have been a waste of time for anyone to try to change my mind.
I know you probably won't understand this (I wouldn't have back then). I wasn't attending any church of any kind and did not have others trying to influence me. But, I changed. My beliefs about certain important things changed.
Why? Why the change? I've thought about it and can only come to the conclusion that a transformation had taken place and it was to me like a special grace bestowed on me from a Higher Power. Your eyes are prob ably getting glazed over and you have mentally put me into a category of "another wacko" or something like that. Stick with me here...
I don't ask you to accept or even try to understand what I have said. You can not understand this concept until you have experienced it. And, it may never happen.
Now, as unrealistic and surprising as it may sound to some, I am now against abortion and, of course I am against capital punishment.
Again, if you believe in a woman's right to abortion or capital punishment as acceptable punishment, I am not here to try to change your mind or anyone elses'. I'm just sharing here some of my thoughts for those who may be interested.
Yes,there is a lot more I could say about the issue of abortion, and about the issue of capital punishment, but, again I don't think this forum is the place to do it. Although, we do get a sense of what fellow Ron Paul supporters are like when we share personal experiences. I must say I have sensed a lot of diversity among RP supporters and that certainly mmakes things more interesting.
My apologies to those who are offended by my taking the liberty to express these views here at the Ron Paul site.
Peace to you - whatever you believe. And, I have a sense of peace in what I believe.

Thanks for your contribution :)
Peter James , After reading over your site
I would like to add that you definitely are a Ron Paul constitutional american to me, and someone that I certainly will support with a donation. Blessings to you on your couregeous endeavor to continue to spread the message of freedom for all americans. Do I believe in miracles? You bet I do and you have my support and hopefully others will go to your site also. Thanks for posting!
It is an interesting site.
