This is a Ron Paul support sight and support for candidates that will help Ron Paul restore the constitution and the Bill of Rights should always be welcome.
When people make posts on this site promoting people and ideas that do not support freedom, peace, and prosperity they should always be flagged and deleted.
I support and donated to Ron Paul not any CFR candidates.
Abolish the international banker's hold over the U.S. government. Abolish the Federal Reserve (swindle) Bank, the IRS (internal ((red)) serpents), and support Ron Paul.

How could anybody look at what Ron Paul stands for and decide to be stupid and vote for Obama or McCain?
Any real Ron Paul supporter ""can not"" vote for McCain or Obama.
If a person has not searched out the opinions of all the candidates and understood the ""difference"" between "total government control" and "freedom" then they could vote against themselves and vote Obama or McCain.

yes roben, please censor everything... thank you for deciding what others should read. Yes this is the daily Paul, but I don't think Ron believes in censorship. Let people read for themselves and decide for themselves. I will never vote for barr, or mccain or obama, but I don't have the right to tell others not to, nor do I have the right to tell others they have no right to post. The ones posting for barr look ridiculous and only convince others that barr is a loser. So if you will post positive Paul info and not stir up arguments, I feel your thoughts would be more worthwhile.

I thought I would use this popular thread to announce some big media events. Whether you like him or not he is talking about things we love on national TV.
Also did anyone notice BarrRoot2008.com, BarrRoot08.com, Barr-Root08.com, Barr-Root2008.com all take you to a smear site. Quotes by Christine Smith all over it. The counter says over 600,000 hits. That is not good and it would be wise the campaign get those domain names.

Maybe my memory is off, but when I started coming here in October of 07 this site was alot less anti this and anti that.
To be trying to end debate is exactly what we are fighting, right. This should be a truely anything goes forum. Yes it would really piss me off when in the height of the campaign something I thought was important would be buried in 5 minutes. I even wanted to cut ties with this place because of the posts around here just bashing anybody who does not completely support our views as communists, socialists, and neocons. We should be much more open to debate and also more savvy in spreading out message.

It's not that anyone doesn't want to debate Barr, his voting record/private life or anything like that. The fact is that there are a handful of individuals that were flooding the forum with tons of Barr threads. They were asked nicely to keep it to one thread so as to minimize redundancy etc. Instead, they chose to keep doing what they were doing which resulted in threads like this. Just following basic netiquette would have put this whole issue to bed a LONG time ago.

You're sounding like a Republicrat (Hillary McBama!). Why would you halt a discussion about the other candidates? Is that not we gather here? To discuss, inform, learn from one another?
If a potential RP convert were to show up on this site and ask a simple question about the difference between RP and McCain, they would immediately be labeled a 'troll' and someone would certainly call to have their posts erased.
Get a firmer grip, people. The open-door, really big tent policy leaves enough room for everyone.... even those who may not be completely on board yet.
Don't worry, just because someone says "Barr is the man!" doesn't mean we are all going to jump ship later today! I haven't even given Barr a second look since he threw his hat in the ring.

exactly right, one can choose for themselves if an input has value. This was not an easy place for me to arrive. Learning the Libertarian leanings of Paul has earned me much freedom to accept others as they want to be. That was not so easy for me and still I have problems with it but because I love freedom more than being right i choose to let go of these hidden controls in my personality. thanks Dr. Paul for being a good role model and demonstrating how it is possible to stand on principle without the need to dictate the actions of others. I was asleep and now I am awake.

The bare fact that this post exists
and has not been removed by the moderator is that it's a good debate topic and makes us talk about all the candidates. Many, if not most, of us understand that Ron Paul is the best candidate, by reason of his long obeisance to the Constitution. Baldwin has a chance at such, but where is his record of votes that affirm his stated convictions? Barr's voting record does not speak well to his trustworthiness. McCain's meddling has created unnecessary restrictions on our economic activity in this election cycle, and he's crazy and has a bad temper. Obama is a globalist beyond refute and I have no interest in any global treaty. Hillary's a mess and I don't want her dictating the terms of my medical care. She also is in bed with the hormone peddlers who are destroying our health by debasing our food.
So let someone learn here at the Daily Paul, no need to delete any post, not even this one!!

Noone stands up to the
Noone stands up to the standard of voting that Dr. Paul has and for that reason we all cringe at the thought of voting for anyone else. I hate the idea of my vote not counting but I also think at this point any vote other than my conscience is useless anyway. I can't yet wrap my head around choosing any other candidate.

Freedom is not being forced to do anything
you do not wish to do when you have not harmed anyone else. Conceptually this is vague enough to force the repeal of 2/3 at least of all laws that restrict my activities and force me to buy pieces of metal and slips of paper that track and identify me.

this whole troll thing is out of hand....when you accuse someone of being a troll you take authority into your own hands and judge accordingly....to me it's not tried and true and is only speculative and too easy a thing to say if you disagree with someone's stance on an issue. The hardcore trolls are admitting their status by deed. If we do not chase and harass and point out the wrongness of their words then those who walk in here off the street will read things that are not a part of our message and not see any disclaimer.
The battle against trolls is distasteful, but important. We might as well have fun with it, they DID, after all, come here of their own free will. They may also leave thus, but they do not. Or they change names and start over, a small word here, a misguided phrase there, but the nature of their mission forces them to blow it. Then you have onevoiceofreason and Mt1034 and BillyDee. In a month or 2 the names will be different but the propaganda campaign will continue and there will be 'new' trolls to spout illogic and collectivist slogans.

I have seen too many defend themselves against such accusations, perhaps they were here and misidentified. It's just useless and to think someone isn't able to tell for themselves if information is valid or not, seems to me it is a police act and is not warranted or helpful. I have not found it particulary helpful to see someone labeled a troll. I know if what they say is something I value or not.
