McCain supporters Boo a disabled Veteran at the Colorado State convention this past Saturday.
A sad sight, that sums up the established republican party -- boo'ing a Verteran - who had to be wheeled up (wheel chair) to stage to give his speech for becoming a delegate to the national convention - was loudly boo'ed by the 70% majority McCain supporters -- Cheered by the 30% Ron Paul supporters at the convention.
Here is what Bonnie (Colorado's RP leader/coordinator had to say about the incident) -
"I was stunned when the "McCain" crowd boo'ed an Iraqi disabled veteran, just because he supports Ron Paul! I guess in their book, you can only be a good soldier if you support and speak kindly of McCain. Even me, as such a dedicated Republican, was so disgusted at all of those people booing a veteran...well I guess they just showed their true colors of how they REALLY feel about all of our troops. Shame on them! I'm sure when that is posted on YouTube, the McCain campaign will really get some emails from our honorable soldiers. "

I have experienced much of the same...but as they see we're not detered, that we aren't three headed monsters as their fear mongering leaders have told them, and that we genuinely are concerned about our country and the community... we grow!

for the rest of you. I was there, I saw and heard it go down. The Colorado GOP roundly booed every Ron Paul delegate that dared to use their 15 seconds of allotted microphone time at the podium, regardless of age, gender or disability. So much for "unity".

That anyone would treat a returned recent vet, who is in a wheelchair for pity's sake, with no respect, is a sure sign that all those "Support the Troops" ribbons and signs and t-shirts are only applicable to the troops who haven't yet decided to question the war and the Great Leader GW Bush.

Boneheads Know Best!
A soldier who gave of himself in Iraq tells a crowd of people who (most likely) have not served in Iraq that he supports Ron Paul. They summarily "boo" him, despite the fact that he was there and probably has better first-hand knowledge than most of the audience members do, and whose words therefore likely have greater knowledge and wisdom than the naysaying boneheads in the crowd.
This reminds me of True_believer's fabulous signature line:
