Everyone should have this in their glovebox and by the doors of their home!

It may have been helpful pre-Patriot Act
..when this was still America. Now? Good luck.
Not saying you can't talk your way out of an illegal search. Simply don't give them permission. Tell them you're in a hurry and won't consent. Anything that is in plain sight is fair game so the handgun on the passenger seat, $100,000 in the duffelbag or the illegal drugs on the dashboard will still give them probable cause.
Saying they smelled pot, etc. may get them in your car but it may also get anything they find thrown out on a technicality.
Be polite, be professional. If you bust balls, expect to take a ride in cuffs.

Hey...
Is that what Cheyne and Chevie Kehoe had in their glovebox?

Whats the point?
I really dont see the point of this. 90% of officers would just ignore it. If they did bother to look at it they would just laugh or get angry. Either way it's not going to help you. Once you start refusing their questions then you WILL be arrested for failing to comply with an officers request for information.
Now there might be a county in Wyoming where this would work and officers still respect the constitution, but the rest of us would only be asking for a quick trip to the police station, or jail.
How does this work?
Say a cop wants in your house or pulls you over, and wants to search your car. You hand him or her this and they take it wrinkle it up and throw it out and then still want to search you. What is the next step for you, will this blatent disregard for the document hold up in court making your search illegal because the paper was not filled out. Please explain how to use this document if you can. Thanks.

This questionaire can be found at many places
in cyber space. I've used it since 1980 and it does work. Be respectful and business-like, but firm.

That seems great, but I could not get it to print out...
Google "public servant questionnaire"
Over 1700 results pop up, including the one referred to below.
I echo the concerns about how to effectively use this, though. That is, we can present these questionnaires, but if they're ignored / tossed out...what then? Is refusing to cooperate with an officer's investigation (which might be called "obstruction of justice") an arrestable offense?
This is not to say we shouldn't attempt holding officials accountable and alerting officers that we know our rights, but, if these notices are ignored or later denied in court (both of which I suspect would be the case more often than not), then I'm not sure I see the power of these questionnaires.
It wouldn't print out right
It wouldn't print out right for me either, so I googled it up and found this link to a pdf version.

keep trying the guntruths.com site
Or try going to the Boise Meetup, it is on page 4 of the messages. FOr what it is worth, I did have an attorney glance over it, and she said it looks legit to her. She has a copy in her glove box now!
