Germany was a ruined country at the time while America wheels a tremondous amount of power. American production is also much higher. Our currency will continue to lose value and inflation will continue to average around 15 percent and will only gradually increase because of these facts.

I've yet to come across any :-) However, a good book to read is Peter Schiff's Crash Proof. Although he does own an investment firm, www.europac.net, the points he puts forth in his book are quite logical and based on readily available economic data. He thinks the route of hyperinflation is what will occur as well, but he doesn't espouse it occurring any time in the near future. He's also one of Ron Paul's economic advisors so that carries quite a bit of clout in my book.

NEO,
you have to see this... gas up over 300% in 5 years. food up over 30%..
I think hyperinflation is anything over 20% and yes this is happening in only certain areas of the economy.. housing DOWN and still going down.
cars/automomobiles! we will have hyperinflation in certain areas of the economy and flat out deflation in certain areas.. within 4 years! this will be a hyperinflationary depression.. hyperinflation could take hold overnight if the fed wanted/had to do it! they can print any amount of money at the stroke of a keyboard key! trillions of digits could be put into use instantaneously.. this is why I don't trust paper instruments.. they are heading down this road. its inflate or die! what do you think they will do?

In economics, hyperinflation is inflation that is "out of control," a condition in which prices increase rapidly as a currency loses its value. Formal definitions vary from a cumulative inflation rate over three years approaching 100% to "inflation exceeding 50% a month." In informal usage the term is often applied to much lower rates. As a rule of thumb, normal inflation is reported per year, but hyperinflation is often reported for much shorter intervals, often per month.
The definition used by most economists is "an inflationary cycle without any tendency toward equilibrium." A vicious circle is created in which more and more inflation is created with each iteration of the cycle. Although there is a great deal of debate about the root causes of hyperinflation, it becomes visible when there is an unchecked increase in the money supply or drastic debasement of coinage, and is often associated with wars (or their aftermath), economic depressions, and political or social upheavals.
I do think the Fed will hyperinflate I just don't think we are in hyperinflation yet. I think 5-10 years tops and we will be witnessing hyperinflation like what I think you are meaning. Don't get me wrong, I'm not thinking the US is going to somehow skeeze out of hyperinflation. I think they are going to ride this comet straight into the ground, i just think it will take time because of how massive the US economy is and the fact it is the world reserve currency holder.
Whether this is all being done deliberately to bring on a new currency like the Amero and the NAU or these people really are just completely retarded I don't know.

Venezuela is not left leaning as far as I can tell. Unless you listen to the US government. Chavez has nationalized industries but did so by buying out the ownership. You have to remember most third world countries have been under our oppression for at least 100 years.
Check out this documentary if you'd like to know more about the true nature of Chavez and Venezuela. I must admit... I had no idea myself.

Chavez is nationalizing industries. He's enacting price controls. He's taking land from rich farmers and giving it to the poor to farm etc. He's also good buddies with FARC, which is the leftist guerilla movement in Colombia. He talks of his presidency as a Socialist Revolution. These are all leftist practices and rhetoric. He's a softcore commie just like obama and the venezuelans economy is suffering from this. They are having food shortages, power outages etc.
What happens when real inflation is exposed and interest rates go from 3-4% to 10%? Just to service the national debt in that circumstance would cause a serious problem for the Federal Government. Which they could either dramatically cut the budget or dramatically increase borrowing from the Fed...but who would take on the debt? Interest rates would explode.
What happens if countries like China allow there currency to float... China in my opinion is the dollar's best friend. And if Saudi Arabia started accepting payment in something other than dollars? There may not be discussion about the dollar on American TV but if you check out Middle East TV its almost a daily discussion.
In my opinion, the attempt to ignore these by our government and business media only makes them more dangerous.
