Paul didn't have to read a damn teleprompter because he knew what the heck he wanted to say and what he was talking about. You would think that the GOP leadership has really not figured out that "De-Nile" is not a river in Egypt. McLame couldn't fill up the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville last week with the top talk station in town promoting the event days prior with ads. RP had 1,500+ at the War Memorial Auditorium in September on the fly and with no such help! The New Orleans speech looked like it was done the day after Katrina judging from the size of the crowd of 6 people there. The GOP leadership is kinda stupid. I guess they will eventually get it and tell the Bill Kristol's of the world to take a long walk off a short pier ... freedom, apparently, is popular. Morons.

I agree with you, the media is favoring Obama big time. The media really didn't want Romney in there because he is younger and more electable. They are happy to have unelectable McCain in there.
BUT this is all good. I want Obama to win, not because he is a good candidate (he, like McCain and Hillary are nightmares) but because if McCain loses Ron Paul can run again in 4 years.
Se we should all hope McCain loses so we have another shot in four. If the media wants to help us with this goal, all the better.

if we can't pull anything off at the convention and there is no Paul/Ventura ticket or XXX/Paul ticket to vote for (hate to say it but we'd need no small miracle for any of those possibilities to become reality) I'd love to see RP in '12... but let's face it, the good Dr. will be 76 in 2012, not sure if he'll be willing/able to put himself through the election ringer again... (and who could blame him)
