Michael, I contacted Greg, the guy that manages Ron Paul's myspace site.
I said: www.thisnovember5th.com is going on, can you send out a massive email blast to the 76,000 myspace friends of Ron Paul?
He says it goes against the campaign funding rules etc.
I have an idea:
I need 400 volunteers with myspace accounts. The 76,000 myspace friends are on pages that have 40 friends per page.
Each person takes a particular sequence (pages 1-5, 6-10, etc) of FIVE myspace pages (so not to repeat) from Ron Paul's myspace site and sends them a "cut and paste" email that spills the beans on November 5th, and asks for there most generous donation of $100 or whatever they can, on that day.
That's "cut and paste" emails to 200 people for each volunteer.
The title of each email is "RON PAUL 5th of November MUST READ NOW", so to catch the Ron Paul supporter's attention and avoid that they delete the email as spam.
By November 5th there will be 20,000 people from the 5th of November website pledged to donate.
Many people are donating more. I'm donating $200.
Add that to the 76,000 myspace friends, and we've got nearly 100,000 people, that donate $100, which is the goal of TEN MILLION DOLLARS in one day.
But we need to move FAST.

You set up a front page story on this site, that explains the deal....and it says, volunteers click here:
Then we assign them the myspace pages....and more if they want....
It should take half an hour if that. But we have to do it NOW, so people can read it ASAP and be ready for November 5th.
I think this could really work.
It's the only way we can alert all of the myspace friends, and go from raising 2 million on November 5th, to raising TEN MILLION.

Hi everyone! It's Brian. I am the person who orchestrated and managed the mass myspace messaging with the automated software. Hellion also had his own efforts going which started here off of dailypaul.com. Hellion's & Gabriel's team were sending out messages by hand, while my team was sending out by automated software. We were hitting 1,000 messages per/hour with the software. Due to this Hellion's team joined up forces with my team, and we continued the messagin at an even faster rate. While we HAVE sent out over 75,000+ messages to people on Ron Paul's friends list some people may have not gotten the message because of a couple things;
On Oct 30th and 31st the first two days of my teams efforts me and a couple other people had gone ahead of our team and created over 400 myspace accounts for them to use to message from, however myspace noticed these accounts being created because of the method, and quickly deleted them not more than 24 hrs after they were created. Because of this around 15,000 of these messages sent those days did not go through. We are currently in the process of re-sending those messages an will begin going through the list AGAIN just in case.
Chances are if you received a message about nov5th it had some nice nov 5th graphics and all. then yes that was from our efforts!! There have been people staying up day and night to get the word out here!! Thanks to the support of others like yourself it IS HAPPENING!!

Unfortunately during Oct. 30th and Oct. 31st due to the way we set up profiles for people and the similarities in the profiles made them an easy target and we believe the profiles/messages were deleted quickly and were not read by most of the intended users. Technically because of this we haven't sent messages to EVERY Ron Paul supporter on Myspace. (We are re-sending to these IDs at the moment)

no mention of myspace. i came across a few curious profiles (with hillary as #1 friend for example) as I was spreading the word but for the most part I wouldn't suspect ron paul's supporters would flag those message we sent. someone posted earlier in another thread that it could be spammers, well "spamming" Ron Paul as a keyword just like they do Britney and Paris.
what we've been doing is big, but certainly not uninvited.

So it is legal??? That is the way I read it as long as you follow the rules.

Something to keep in mind with MySpace
If MySpace deems your account as a spammer, you'll *ONLY* be able to send messages to people on your friends list. The kicker is, MySpace doesn't notify you you've been placed on the list, it just happens. It will look like the message went through.
If you don't receive any type of response from a block of users you've emailed on a particular day, you might want to make sure your account is still good. Create another account(don't add the 2nd account to your friends list) and make sure both accounts are getting email back and forth.

Hi Everyone!! Good news today!! We WILL be hitting 70,000 messages sent TODAY. Yes thats right, all 70,000 of Ron Paul's Supporters on Myspace will be messaged sometime TODAY!!!!!!! There is roughly 15,000 messages left to send. After completion I would like to re-send to IDs we send 10/30-10/31 .. since when this effort initially started, because of the way we had our myspace accounts set up for two days they were wiped out too quickly to be read by anyone. I will let everyone know when I believe 70,000 has been reached!!!!

FIRST 25 RON PAUL MEET-UP GROUPS CONTACTED...
Hello, as posted elsewhere on this board, I contacted all the people in the first 25 Ron Paul meet-up groups about Nov 5th..... That is all I can contact in one day.... so as suggested elsewhere, you need to take the second 25 meet up groups (I did the first 25) and on and one.... parcel them out 25 to a person....
OF COURSE THESE ARE SUPERSITES TO CONTACT... I HAVE ALREADY GOTTEN LOTS OF POSITIVE EMAILS BACK.....
Oh and by the way, I did a google search for Ron Paul Meet-ups and then took the first twenty-five, I dont know how else to approach it UNLESS YOU WANT TO COORDINATE BY STATE!!!!!
