John2K, can you answer?
Are you able to answer a related question, which I posted over here?
You went to great lengths to post the articles of impeachment (thank you); I'm hoping that is an indication that you are more informed on the procedures of this proposal than I am. I'd appreciate any insights you may be able to provide.
Or anyone else, for that matter...
I'm not an expert on these
I'm not an expert on these things, but I have been trying to learn more as well as keeping up with as much news as possible.
Kucinich made the motion to send it to the committee. He mentioned that hearings held in committee would be more valuable than 30 minutes of debate on the House floor. Kucinich has also stated that he will bring his resolution back in 30 days if the Judiciary Committee doesn't act on it. He's also mentioned that in 30 days he will be joined by many other members of the House in support of his resolution.
Also, just a hunch here, many politicians might prefer to deal with this issue during their "lame duck" session - after the fall elections.
