How did ABC/Disney get Ron Paul story before anyone else?
I'm just a curious mind wondering how in the heck ABC was able to break what they are claiming is the end to Ron Paul's presidential bid?
I did a search and didn't find any other news agency reporting this story as of yet. Has anyone else found any other news organization reporting this new inforamtion?
I suppose we'll have to wait and see what Dr. Paul has to say tonite.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A spokesman for Ron Paul says the Republican presidential candidate is ending his campaign.
Spokesman Jesse Benton says Paul will make the announcement Thursday night during a speech in Austin, Texas. Paul also will announce that he is beginning a new effort to elect libertarian-leaning Republicans like himself to public office nationwide.
Benton says the announcement was not a disappointment, but rather is exciting.
Paul's announcement will be a formality. The Texas congressman won few delegates during the Republican primaries, but he raised millions of dollars online and developed a large, grass-roots following among those backed his call for ending the war in Iraq and smaller government at home.

Pure and simple. Byron Wolf has done an excellent job covering this campaign for many moons, and he has been a leader in getting the moneybomb information out in the mainstream correctly. He has also done a better job with this article than any of the other MSM sources. The campaign trusts him enough to get it right enough to let him scoop everyone else.

he was tipped off by the powers that be that RP has been warned to cease and desist because of his convention. hence the need for the next phase!
Ceasing the Campain Yet Still In the Race
Dr. Paul did not say he quit.
He did not say he is filing paperwork to that effect.
Just like he didn't say that a few months ago when he said the campaigning was "winding down," and the NYT and major TV networks lied with headlines saying he was out.
His "Campaign" is a political organization registered with the FEC--by closing it, he can redirect his $5,000,000+ into other things.
We will still go to Saint Paul (I'm a national alternate from Alaska) and still mingle with all the other delegates. We are still free to choose a different candidate than McCain.
Ron Paul will still be registered with them, I believe, as a candidate, and we can still make it happen--if we move the mountains that are minds and show them how he really is the Best Choice.
Simultaneous to the Convention, Dr. Paul will be within a few miles, ready to show up at a moments notice to speak, should we manage a floor resolution to have him speak.

quitting campaigning, which is logical...there is NO primary left to campaign, but not quite the presidential race, very much like Hillary Clinton or Mitt Romney has done... Now the money will be freed to use and more money can be raised. If McCain gets sick, say something totally irresponsible, a revelation about him that can be damaging etc. Dr. Paull will still be on the list to become president.

Considering how hard the people in Nevada are working to reconvene, it would be a sad thing to have him end his campaign before seeing how the cards fall in Reno.
His announcement will more likely be about the campaign for liberty and the mini convention.

Didn't everyone panic just like this the last time. Isn't it possible to do both; stay the course and still initiate the Campaign for Liberty. We just need to wait and see from RP himself as to what the grand plan is.

there's nothing th be sad about.... Ron Paul isn't giving up his delegates or candidacy... just his campaign... there's nothing to campaign for... the primaries are done, that's why we're starting a new campaign. A campaign for liberty.... A campaign for the American people. Besides, we're going to need it in the event that a miracle occurs and Ron gets the nomination. Why do you think we're building it up now?
