Dear programmer/Ron Paul supporter
Submitted by social engineer on Thu, 11/01/2007 - 12:15Hello everyone, I am developing an website with an innovative approach that is aimed at directly translating the firestorm of support that exists online for Ron Paul into the printed press of every city within the United States. I was using developers in India as that was all that I could afford, but I have since found a senior programmer/Ron Paul supporter who is building my website using much better technology and a more efficient methodology. He is building the front end first using Java in Eclipse, then he will use a program called Hibernate to quickly build the SQL Tables. The project has been committed to SVC on www.sharesource.org under the name "campaign" I am looking for a Java/Eclipse developer to help get this project complete as soon as possible. If someone could just help me with Eclipse so that I could contribute some things myself, then that would be spectacular as well. Here is a link to 40 tif images and a table that serve as a model for my project:

Here is a link to the SVC repository as well:

If you have any questions about the project then please feel free to ask. My email is user_corrupt@hotmail.com. Thank you very much, have a nice day.

Great Idea!
My parents only read print and so do a lot of old people!
Can I help in another area of the project? Such as PR, or Local Distribution, or anything that will help....I'm a developer, but I imagine all these guys above would get it done much faster than me.

I'm pretty jammed at the moment,
but I'm familiar with those technologies (is he using the full J2EE environment, like JBoss, or just the Hibernate?). In a couple of weeks, I might be able to chip in some night and weekend work.
Of course, Steve Jobs and company just f'd my OS X Eclipse environment by not supporting Java 1.6 in Leopard, so I'm currently in the process of re-hosting my development environment under VMware -- I have a feeling it's going to be pretty pathetic performance-wise. I'm so p*ssed off at Apple right now...
SharePoint Integration
Great, can I use SharePoint Integration with the JAVA (J2EE)?
Please check the Mainsoft's link and tell me how it could be done.
Microsoft
Microsoft is no better in that regard. My old laptop overheated and fried the motherboard, so I bought a new one from Dell using the company discount ($500 off!). It came with Vista Home Premium which has been sucking it up hardcore for me. It installs eclipse, but occasionally the install gets corrupted and I can no longer get into the program. Why wont these companies just do their own beta testing?
I'm a software tester
and I work with Java and eclipse every day. What exactly are you trying to do?
Hello
My friend in Texas has already build me a page that displays a map of the USA. Each State displays a State code with three figures underneath. The State code itself is a link, and the three figures beneath are links as well. Each of these three figures are programmed with an Ajax "push" technology that enables them to be automatically updated without a browser refresh. The figures represent emails sent to newspapers / emails appearing in print / and responses appearing in print. I would like to be able to make the map of the USA bigger, and move the codes/labels around to make sure that they won't overlap each other as the figures grow. I would also like to be able to edit the labels that pop up when you hover your mouse over the links. I would like to be able to work on this seemingly tedious process while my friend in Texas works on the rest of the websites pages.
Also
I do have Eclipse running on my powermac, with Tomcat and subversion installed, and I am able to open the project in SVC. So I am all set up to a point, thanks.
Fantastic!!
Awesome, keep us updated, thanks for all you've done!

Thank you
Thank you very much, that is very nice of you to say. I must say, my friend Greg in Texas has been an absolute godsend to this project. I'll keep doing my best to get this project complete asap, thanks again.
Can't you just go read some Eclispe books?
And download Eclipse for free off the web? It's not that hard to figure it out.
hello
I have Eclipse installed on my powermac, with Tomcat and Subversion installed, and I am able to open the project in SVC. But here's the thing, I'm not a programmer, so I don't know Java or any other laguage for that matter, so I really could use some assistance from someone experienced to be able to do anything to help any time soon. Thank you.
Eclipse is an IDE
Reading a book on it won't teach you how to program in Java / Hibernate.
"it" meaning Java, duh! (nt)
...
It does if you know how to program Java already...
because it's just how to use the damned SW interfaces to actually code.
At least that's what my decade of SWE experience tells me...
bump
yeah, so I don't know Java or anything, but I do have Eclipse all setup, and I can access this project in SVC, and all I need right now is help to move some numbers around, change some labels, and maybe make a map bigger. So i anyone could help, that would be great. Also, this project really will help this campaign A LOT so check it out, thanks.
