Obama: Amendments Give Us Our Rights
Ask Obama supporters whether they believe our country is based on the concept that rights come from our Creator (or "Nature") (or "Flying Spaghetti Monster") (or etc.), or, is our country based upon the concept that our rights are only granted to us by the good-natured folks we elect to represent us.
Then, depending on their answer, you might need to direct them to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution for a bit of review.
Here's a quick quote from An Illustrated Guide to Obama's Gun-Grabbing (article dated today 6/15/08; emphasis is mine) --
--
...the fact of the matter is that the Obama campaign recognizes no constitutional right to own firearms for personal or community defense. His website claims a position of:
Respect the Second Amendment: Millions of hunters own and use guns each year. Millions more participate in a variety of shooting sports such as sporting clays, skeet, target, and trap shooting that may not necessarily involve hunting. As a former constitutional law professor, Barack Obama believes the Second Amendment creates an individual right, and he greatly respects the constitutional rights of Americans to bear arms. He will protect the rights of hunters and other law-abiding Americans to purchase, own, transport, and use guns for the purposes of hunting and target shooting. He also believes that the right is subject to reasonable and commonsense regulation.

Can that which is subject to regulation be honestly referred to as a "right"?

Holy S**t
I didn't know he was a Constitutional law professor. Great, our education system at its best.
Yeee-up.
A Constitutional law professor who does not know what the Constitution actually says. Wants to be president. Do you suppose he knows what the Constitution actually says about the presidency?
Naw, I didn't think so either.
