Look at that picture and tell me we aren't already IN a police state.
Then read the article and notice how these people are so brainwashed they don't think they have a right to be upset with the authorities because they're only trying to protect them?????
I think the fight is lost. People are too stupid to get out of their own way.

New update on this story
same site; police break the window of vehicle and arrest the man trying to get past the checkpoint. Hopefully he won't get tasered or killed because he was trying to go back to his home.
here it is

When have we not been a police state?
"The day is coming, burning like a oven, when all the wicked will be stubble"
They removed the picture from the front page and
I don't know if they have it posted elsewhere on their site, but I saved the picture just in case.
Can you post it or something...
I didn't get to see it.
Nevermind...
Found it.
This takes me back in time...
during the 1972 flood, I was about 8 months pregnant...parts of town were so bad you could only navigate them via boat....I wanted to get to my mother's to stay, was only a few blocks away, when a National Guardsman, stopped me, asked me where I thought I was going... I explained, he sent me back from whence I had come. I never questioned it at the time. I cannot recall if martial law had been called or not....but the fact that whether it was or not, I never gave it a thought that perhaps it was my right to continue on....shows that I had been asleep for a long long time....
This article was very disturbing...especially the gun....

I know, I saw this and
I know, I saw this and posted it earlier too, and all I could think was, wow, that gun being pulled was completely unnecessary. If people want to go and see their homes, why stop them? It's their own risk, and it's not like there are sea monsters swimming around that people need to protected from. It's standing water.... sheesh.
Gee, thanks for the gun in my face mr officer!
I'm disgusted.
Since when is the use of deadly force OK to prevent a homeowner from returning to their home?
That man holding the gun in the picture is not upholding the law, he's breaking it.
When will America WTFU?
Yes, we will pick which ones of you
get the yellow bracelet to go back to your homes for 10 minutes to collect your pets and valuables. Meanwhile, while they were away some people are suspecting looters were there first. To add to this mess FEMA just last week admits to giving huge warehouses of supplies away that were supposed to go to Katrina victims. They did not want to keep storing the items. These people could probably use these items now.
Nice touch...
The soldier in the background for added emphasis .
This is martial law.

Yeah this is MSM at it's best.
a lady they quoted said...
"They have Red Cross, police department, fire department, and the people who they brought in -- the Marines and stuff, the National Guard -- have been excellent," she said. "They are keeping us out of our homes even though we're getting upset with them. We have no right because they're trying to protect us."
Does anyone else know what is horribly wrong with this? MY GOD!!

Damn Mr. Huxley!
You were on there!
I'm surpised--I thought Aldous was a lefty. Very nice to see the Orwellian influence in his statement.
