in 1947 a gallon of gas cost 1 us silver quarter... today with gas at 4.00 a silver quarter buys more then 1 gallon of gas.. a pre 64 quarter is worth 4.55 you are right... ITS A DOLLAR CRISIS NOT AN OIL CRISIS! AND THE BLAME BELONGS ON THE FED RESERVE AND THE FED GOVERNMENT!
