Who Killed the Electric Car?

This morning I was reading some news about electric cars in A Dutch newspaper and went on trying to find more info about it. The Dutch news came up with a story that the electric car finaly was comming to a world sensational brake trough.

freely translated it says: The org. parties Essent, United Momentum Group, Electric Cars Europe en InnoSys Engineering are claiming that their new concept will beat all existing and new to come technologies and that this brake trough will lead to electric car driving on mass scale.

The DP is proof that the grassroots support for Ron Paul and his peaceful message of individual liberty is large, real, and not going away!

Anyone who knows about auto

Anyone who knows about auto history knows that electric cars were around before fossil-fueled cars.

BUT they were less efficient and costlier in the long run. So combustion engines took over.

And for those of you who believe GM killed the electric car, your wrong. they spent tons of money trying to make it feasible, but it was not. Fortunately they used the EV-1 as a basis for their new VOLT car that will be on sale 2010.

DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ AND HEAR.

We had electric cars 50 years ago!

My Mom grew up in Detroit. Two of her brothers worked in R&D for Chrysler. Back in the 1950's they build solar panels for a full size Chrysler car that charged batteries that filled the trunk. The panels were on the hood, roof and trunk. The car would travel at city street speeds for several miles. If they could do that 50 years ago, there's no doubt that we could all be driving solar powered cars today if big auto, big oil, or big government wanted us to be doing so.

"What have you done for Ron Paul today"?

Hence Carbon Tax

Do not use renewables but use fossil fuel and then charge us for the waste product now - they have created a constant circle of money for themselves all at our expense. Sounds like free market economics to me. Why would Gore want to be Pres. he will make a fortune off of carbon credits and if the global warming crisis is a crisis why are we not running to alternate energy sources - because there is no crisis. It's all a fabrication - they need to look like they do something for a living.

You should love Big Brother

Oh, that's a "conspiracy theory." You're a "crackpot." [Insert pejorative language here.] The Big Brother government loves you. You should love Big Brother.

I think the problem with

I think the problem with electric cars is that it takes coal or oil to generate the electric.

Actually, Nuclear, Wind, and Solar are ideal sources

Producing little greenhouse gasses and being available during non-peak demand periods for rechargeing. Imagine your plug in hybrid or pure electric recharging as it sits in the garage overnite or in the work parking lot during the day being powered by solar panels on the building, or wind turbines in the next lot over or by a nuclear plant carrying the grid instead of a co2 emmitting source like coal, oil, or natural gas. This could work for electric trains as well. If only there were a way to break the corporate stranglehold that now exists on transportation and energy.

Liberty is not free, It must be earned!

Liberty is not free, It must be earned!

Seems to be part of

the problem. What about money - there is more money in oil for cars than electric.

Unions protect the interests of corporations.

This is what we get when we allow the government to make the rules. The electric car is very practical if we could get past the mafia.

STOP KILLING THE ELECTRIC CAR

If you have not, watch the documentary called "Who Killed the Electric Car?"

Regardless of what disinfo trolls will tell you, the War Party-advertised artificial scarcity of oil imposed upon the mass-hypnotized hoi polloi and vested, national corporate-socialist interests have effectively entered into a conspiracy of ideas to put the kibosh on the advent of the electric car.

Watched a portion of it...

thought it was interesting.

Here's a "hmmm" story...years ago, one of my father's co-workers purchased a car. Shortly afterwards he went on a road trip. The gas gauge hardly moved. Thinking it was broken, he went to fill up and couldn't put more than a couple gallons in it. The week after the trip, the dealership called him and said "we gave you the wrong car". They took it back and gave him another one that didn't get anywhere near the gas milage of the first car.

What was that car? The dealership wouldn't give him any answers.

silly fools
