The Royal Bank of Scotland has advised clients to brace for a full-fledged crash in global stock and credit markets over the next three months as inflation paralyses the major central banks.

"A very nasty period is soon to be upon us - be prepared," said Bob Janjuah, the bank's credit strategist.

Don't underestimate the men behind the curtain.

A quote from Woodrow Wilson, the president of
US who actually helped restart this system of
FIAT money. More amazing is the fact that this is
a quote from the year the Federal Reserve Act
was passed.

"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's
views confided to me privately. Some of the
biggest men in the United States, in the Field of
commerce and manufacture, are afraid of
something. They know that there is a power
somewhere -- so organized, so subtle, so
watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so
pervasive -- that they better not speak above
their breath when they speak in condemnation of
it."
- Woodrow Wilson

Excerpts from the article:

"Cash is the key safe haven. This is about not losing your money, and not losing your job," said Mr Janjuah, who became a City star after his grim warnings last year about the credit crisis proved all too accurate.

Ultimately, the bank expects the oil price spike to subside as the more powerful force of debt deflation takes hold next year.

Ron Paul May Have Been Right

You mean that Ron Paul may have been right all along? Does anybody remember all the silly looks in the debates when Ron Paul warned of the coming financial disaster? McCain, Romney and Giuliani would have the stupid looks on their face and the MSM just happened to always have the cameras in the right position to correct them. I am happy we are not the crazy ones after all.

Forever confused

OK, so if the Feds were trying to bring the US economy to its knees so that it could usher in the Amero, what is happening? It seems they got themselves caught in their own net? Is what they tried to do here simply affecting the whole world and they were too stupid to realize it would, or what? If it was a ploy and it is now causing them to "panic," why don't they stop it, it is within their power to stop the madnexx in my understanding. Or did other unexpected things start getting into their game, like the mortgage crisis and now the derivatives. I have been surprised that people who pay with the Euro have had a spike in their gasoline prices.

Re:

People don't pay for gas in Euro. Oil can only be bought in sold in dollars. Since it's a reserve currency, countries have stockpiles of the greenback. As it loses value they spend more of their dollars on oil. The Saudis are going to start pumping 500 K more barrells a day for no reason because this really isn't as much of a supply and demand issue as it's made out to be. It's a question of how to rescue the dollar from weakening and decreasing oil speculation.

You may see the dollar strengthen soon because the G8 is proposing to buy dollars to increase demand, therefore increasing it's value. They did it with the Euro about 10 years back. It's one of the benefits of globalization but it can also be seen as undermining capitalism and moving markets. When this happens it may spark the sell-off of what is already seen as overbought oil futures.

Greed

I don't think it was the Fed's intent to crash the dollar. I think it is, and always has been, the Fed's intent to fill the pockets of bankers, Wall Street, and politicians with wealth looted from the people. But they pushed ot too far. They have killed the golden goose. As powerful as they are, they cannot change the laws of economics. What is happening now is beyond their control. They are scrambling to try and keep the corrupt system afloat, but they are failing.

No need to postulate grand conspiracies. Simple greed, corruption, and stupidity will suffice nicely to explain the coming debacle..

yea, the conspiracy theories

yea, the conspiracy theories are tiring. It is true, that the Amero could be waiting in the wings for such a moment. But I'm confident that the backers of the Amero can just sit back and watch nature take place, without lifting a finger.

And if the Amero is ushered in? So what. Same stuff, different day.

People need to start thinking with their left-brain. Big picture. There was a guy on this board who said gold wasn't the answer. I'm starting to agree. It doesn't matter what your currency is, if the government is going to behave like a large spoiled brat, un-wise, immature...it doesn't matter what our currency is...if the government is involved, it will be manipulated.

big picture is: we want smaller less interventionist government

the solution is not: returning to a gold standard, over throwing the primary system, and slipping in a libertarian president. The reason it's not the answer is because you'd still have a couple hundred million clueless sheep that would undo your work in about 2 months. If that long.

the solution is: you, I, us....we have to create a larger pocket of "us". And it's a tricky thing...cause by nature, libertarian leaning individuals are exactly THAT....individuals. So we have to spread the knowledge. IF we spread our way of thinking, and people live it, then things like the gold standard, a libertarian president, smaller government....WILL FOLLOW.

The RP campaign is the vehicle to spread the knowledge. Live within your means, live humbly, stay out of debt, rely less on the government, turn less to the government to solve your problems, live responsibly...

The stuff isn't rocket science, but apparently it is.....

p.s. Sorry about the long extended rant. I'm feeling verbose these days. Also, I was essentially agreeing with you on the "don't attribute to malice" aspect of your post....

Gold standard restricts government!

The reason the gold standard helps out is because it keeps the government from printing new money to spend on wars and everything else. That would keep the value of the dollar from falling, and there would be zero inflation, and the economy would be much healthier.

a gold standard would help.

a gold standard would help. I'm just saying big-picture-wise, it wouldn't help that much.

The Neocons have found a nifty trick in the print-and-spend methodology.

If we force their hand, then they'll just switch to the tax-and-spend methodology.

What I'm saying is, the government, organizations, banks, you name it....if there's an obstacle, they'll find away around it. Gold would make a small obstacle.

What you need is educated masses. There has to be some minimum threshold where we gain critical mass. Perhaps 30 to 35 percent of the voting population could keep government in check. Right now we don't have half of that.

So there you have it....gold won't fix the big picture, neither will laws....only a large chunk of people who know better, and live as an example.

Agree

Stop supporting the State and it will whither and die. Find ways to drop out. Help others to drop out.

The author of the article

the author, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, is about the only "mainstream" financial journalist in the world willing to put negative but true info in his articles

This story has made drudge report, as expected financials are down today. Good thing I am short that sector!

"As the chickens come home to roost"

If we turn and face our problems, they can be overcome. If we try to outrun them, they will surely destroy us.

I think we need to yell this from the highest hill

Wonder if the globalists know this or perhaps this whole thing is not going to touch them somehow? Perhaps the ones with the money are just so much more able to weather the storm that they just sit back and like watching things go in the direction they wanted it too, no matter what kind of havoc prevails that they did not predict?

We have to be careful

to not give these NWO chumps too much credit for being smart. Perhaps their arrogance has done them in. I hope that they and their minions will soon find that heir last days on earth will be much like their first days in hell.

Well,

this is depressing this morning. Peace
