my wife and I just got married (she from Europe). She has her residency card. So we opened up a joint checking account. Yesterday I received a letter stating that we had to file additional paperwork to open a checking account with the DHS (as per article x.xx of the patriot act) otherwise after X number of days the would freeze the account and sieze all the moneys as a way to fight off terrorists.
What a lovely country this has become......

the only thing I did was when I maxed out on Dr. Paul, I gave a donation in his name. That is the only thing I can think of we also have a common name but he never had the problem before. This stinks.
