"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul

enjoy

your rolls in the morning,

Stop the "fundraising" and start answering.

No one owes GW a thing. GW owes answers, then let people decide t donate. Question#1: You call this a Freedon Rally, rallies consist of some free events, which events are free besides the ones the STATE is paying for eg: Mt Rushmore Fireworks Display?

Questions?

I don't think I have ever made the statement that anyone owes me anything. I answer any question that is asked, sometimes you don't like the answer but you get it.
Now Your Question : What is free about the Freedom Festival? well listening to about 30 well known and educated activists without paying a cent seems like a freebie? Going to 6 workshops without paying a cent sounds free? Seminars without paying a cent sounds like that is free also? And listening to some great bands without paying a cent also sounds like it is FREE. Camping ( tents) without paying a cent ( also includes a big bath house and bathroom facility) without paying a cent could also be said to be FREE.
Hopefully this has cleared up this little snit. It is Saturday nite, I am old but do have a few other things of interest to do other than post on this forum. I would think the younger people would also be otherwise occupied. All these little snide posts get us no where. I said the Ron Paul Camp which I would have assumed you realized I included myself in that Camp.? I don't think any of you can say that I have not been a supporter with all my heart, soul and money and will continue to support the idea of Liberty in our time.
If everyone used as much energy figuring out ways to promote the idea instead of trying to dwell on every single word to find fault we would all be so much farther ahead of this game. Now I am going to go off line again and do something that is really fun, yep I'm going to wash my dishes, do the kitchen floor and put some dough in the bowl to rise for fresh buns in the morning. There is nothing better on a Sunday Morning than a fresh cinnamon roll fresh out of the oven with a good fresh cup of coffee.
Any of you in the neighborhood come on over I always make enough for a crowd.

okay granny, I guess this is clarification enough,

to my comments(questions) about your below post.(yes, I know your ignoring me and thats your perrogative) I do not doubt that you have great affinity for the movement or Paul but your comment did not express this and was very offensive. There was no twisting of words just interpretation. I expected more from you, like common respect. I think if you re-read my posts you may see that it did not warrant the response I got from you. I think all the harrassment you received about the April 15th Rally gave you a bitter attitude toward everyone that wanted to give input or ask questions and to me that is understandable to a degree. You too easily put everyone in categories and make broad insulting statements. Everyones two cents can be painful at times. I just wish to see the original granny. Where did you go?
Perhaps you have not seen my posts in support of the Festival and me raving about what an effective, excellent idea it is. I really dont think you read what I say when addressing you for if you did you would see that I have never meant you any harm, I am just sometimes flabbergasted at what you say. I have not called you names just questioned some comments you've made but names and insults is the only way you address me. You are free to do so I suppose but it is unbecoming of an elder. But a straight foward answer is all I have asked for. Please try not to be so defensive.

Wrong Again!

The "Freedom Rally" was in D.C. on April 15th.

This is the Revolution 4 Freedom FESTIVAL. So I suppose the Travel expenses, accomodations and meals for all 28 speakers, the 6 bands and the DJ, not to mention the staging, PA system, the campground rental and fees should be on Granny (Linda)? She took out a $20,000.00 loan for this event. It's 5 days long.

She didn't even break even for the Freedom Rally. It cost at total of $5,000.00 and she didn't get that total in donations. She had to take $1,700.00 out of her own pocket to put that on.

At the Revolution 4 Freedom Festival all the Music, Speakers and Workshops (except fror Michael Badnarik) are FREE, The Lakota Heritage Celebration is free, tent camping is FREE at the festival...That's pretty damn good for a festival!

What questions about "fundraising" hasn't Granny answered??

Is this about Granny, then?

I see a definite self promotional slant here. She can't just plan something and hope everyone will just jump in and defray the cost. If she wants to plan something with others then she should get together with others. So far we're seeing that she wants to get credit for large events without approval from those she demands to help her out of the financial jam she put herself into. One word: meetup.

Lord child you are a sad person

So people shouldn't plan a big event? I would hope everyone would help to defray the costs of such events as they promote what we are all working for not the Grannys. I use my own money, credit and friends money to do these events which so far have been very useful in the movement. I would hope more people would start doing the same thing, when you get people together you get fresh ideas, more energy and learn how to do things in a more productive manner from others that have done them before. These events are very useful and helpful to all that attend. Plus they are a heck of a lot of fun.

I don't demand anyone to help pay the costs. I do ask for help and have never been attacked so readily other than here and on the forums which I don't even go to and read as there are just too many people there just looking for someone to flame like people are marshmellows to roast. Not worth going there and wasting time and energy. Some of the people here are from that forum also it looks like and the mentality is starting to spread like a virus.

Most of us here, I hope,

don't feel like the poster above you. Even though we are unlikely to be in SD for the event (we don't have any more time my hubby can take off work) our hearts are with you and we pray you and the people who come will have a great time spreading the Freedom message.

All the Speakers, Bands and

All the Speakers, Bands and Workshops are absolutely FREE to attend. Except Michael Badnarik that is having a special 8 hour training workshop which you receive his autographed for attending.

To my brothers and sisters on the Daily Paul

A Solstice greeting and wish to you all. On this day when there is more light in the world to fight the darkness . I thank you all for standing on this wall with me to defend our freedom for our beautiful ,beloved, children and grandchildren. Thank you all , for what you have done and continue to do.
My final wish is that everyone is able to eat strawberry shortcake tonight !!!

Wasn't posted

i heard it on the radio this morning on my way to grab the paper. Some guy called in all I caught was "Trevel" and the announment "over a million" were going.

shocked the hell out of me...If that happens my family and I will be following your tail lights!

One good thing

We know it is being talked about on the radio at least... seems like the Ron Paul camp is more or less ignoring the event which could be a good thing really. We need new blood lines in this fight, people who will actually do something on the streets not behind their computers.

Now, now, Granny..this is

Now, now, Granny..this is just the kind of talk that gets you in trouble..I do a LOT for the "cause" and also spend a LOT of time on the computer..you need to realize that there are many people doing things you do not want to or cannot do, and these things still help the revolution. I really think I am on here all the time, but I somehow found time to be a plaintiff in the NCEL lawsuit, am delivering a Petition for Grievance, have been to almost every GOP meeting since I heard about RP, gave out almost 100 copies of the constitution in my little town, sort of got to be a delegate before they told me they had messed up, and I also try to send money to different causes and run a motel. Do not, please, make blanket statements like that, Granny..even though you are old and intolerant, we MUST try to all be friends. It does not make sense to attack others at all. We are all doing what we want to, having fun, and spreading this message alll around the country. No one is doing it "better" than anyone else.
AND I AM REALLY PO'd because I want to go to Stugis SO badly but I just can not take so much time off when the convention and all is looming. Makes me upset as I could sell the jewelry I make, there, and learn a lot. I hope you care enough about the rest of us to find a way to make LOTS of videos...
Love ya,

as an objective reader...

and as one who has been active "on" and "off" the computer...i could see how granny's post was a little on the negative side...moonie called her out, he should have...that's my 2 cents worth...now, everybody chill, regroup, rethink, apologize, and move on...we've got work to do

RP or NO ONE in 2008!

GORP!

its 'cos I owe ya, my young friend...
Rockin' the FREE world in Tennessee since 1957!

yet again I find myself saying

shame on Granny!!! The Ron Paul camp? Uh, what the hell does that mean....are you no longer a Ron Paul supporter? Are you no longer a "long time" friend of Dr. Paul? Do you really think that you and your "camp" are the only ones that have a clue about what the Revolution means? Do you really think that most people that respond over the internet are NOT participating in affecting change in their own way? Do you not agree that the event you are holding may not be accessible to all Revolutionaries therefore making the March or Convention an easier venue to attend? Do you not know the numbers of "new blood" and how they have influenced the Revolution? Really you make me sick! You do nothing but insult on the DP so why are you still here-WE ARE THE RON PAUL CAMP! Stay on your own site "which could be a good thing really".

You know what Moonie?

Why do you keep trying to be so ignorant? Are you on drugs or something?
If I dissapoint you then I must be doing something right as I can plainly see you are not a patriot. You continue to try to cause problems and twist every word..

Now I was enjoying my Saturday but got a call to come look what you had posted.? what a joke. Everyone knows where I stand no matter what you try to twist it into.. Now go back under your bridge for a little while and let us all just enjoy the week end..

yet you still

fail to clarify your comment, and call names. Accusing me of drugs-thats really granny of you. You cannot see that I am a Patriot-thats just flame throwing. Track anything about what I have said....and then question my patriotism,,,again shame on you...Why didn't you address the questions with some intellectual clarity? No word twisting-look back over the comment and see if you can answer the questions posed to you-

Ignorance is Bliss

Dr. Paul didn't want us to veg behind the comp all day. His "campaign for Liberty" is about moving forward. Working the precincts on foot, bringing in new supporters...not about sitting on our proverbial butts or waving signs at a pep rally.

Granny is the ultimate mover and shaker. Something has to be done she gets it done. It seems that all you want to do is criticize...while you remain stuck at the station waiting for a train that's already left, Granny continues to carry Ron Paul's message forward... The idea is to bring in new people, educate them and get the movement into a cohesive group. That's what the festival is all about...

so you come on a website

and throw flames at people who are reading it....people sitting at their computers would be the ones your addressing...did you know that I am a precenct captain? did you know that I have spent countless hours handing out slimjims and telling others about Ron Paul and the Revolution? NO YOU DIDNT-because you failed to ask-you make assumptions that are followed by insults--WOW thats just amazing to me and very divisive. Yet you would disagree wouldnt you? AND I NEVER INSULTED THE FESTIVAL--ANY OF MY POST ABOUT EVENTS HAVE INCLUDED THE FESTIVAL. Its accountability in grannys comment that I seek-she feels like she's the only true patriot of the revolution-hogwash-all the generalizations about what people ought to do is offensive because it assumes noone but her and her crew is doing it and that is simply not true- generalizations is her biggest fault-

Granny, I do like you. I'm

Granny,
I do like you. I'm on your list and I have to say your comment above ruffled my feathers a bit too because I am in the Ron Paul camp. I actually tried to get some info on another forum so I can understand what all this name calling and "he said she said" is all about. Ok I think I've figured out enough to see that there has been a whole lot of misunderstanding, hurt feelings, and once that happened straight out and out target practice from both sides.I am NOT taking sides. All these events are really exciting and I know yours will be a HUGE success. I only want to point out that really if you were to add up the people who are being adversarial it's maybe what 25 people. Not enough to put every other RP supporter in a camp. I've worked hard too in this neck of the woods and appreciate all you've done. Please don't kick us to the curb because you are in disagreement with some supporters.

Honey I am not kicking anyone to the curb

You are so right, there are a very few people on this site that are the nit pickers.. only about 6 really and if you notice they will keep on and on and on and really never ask a question that can be answered sensibly but rant and rave about their deeds and me thinking I am something great? That is absolutely the opposite of my self image. Trust me I am not out for glory or a name, I have a name already and it isn't Granny, and the Glory? I have all I can take with my family I don't need the praise from people I don't even know. My goals started with fear, fear of what my family would have to endure if something was not done to get this Nation back on track. I haven't given up on Ron or his message which is so much greater than the man. I have always been in the Ron Paul Camp.. don't take that statement wrong.

Many people want to plan events, they will sit and talk and plan and talk and plan and talk and plan.. I just don't have time to wait for weeks to get something done, so we just get it done. I don't know how else to accomplish the task without just jumping in and doing it. I have sat on boards for years and listened to the planning and droning on and on of every single move and action and see a lot of wasted time. Many of you out there have great ideas but are afraid to jump in and do them for fear of critizm? My advice is to stop worrying about what others will say, just get it done and feel free to be yourself. We don't have much time and need to have people all over this country planning their own little events or big events.. Just do it.. After a while it gets pretty easy. The hardest part is the critizm you get for doing something? strange isn't it? All those that say, You should have, You could have and why did you, are simply looking for a excuse because they have not done anything. You will find many many that will join in and help you out once you let it known what your idea is, that is what you will need to get things done with. Forget those that find fault.

Ron Paul

wanted us to get out and recruit new people. The Campaign for Liberty wants us to get off our a** and into our neighborhoods and towns and spread the word. we're going to go to the revolution freedom festival instead of the march in D.C. -it's the only event that will bring in new people and unite us.

it's going to take all citizens to turn this runaway train around-

he also called for a grand march
