DailyBarr.com ?

With all of the pro-Barr vs. anti-Barr posts lately, I've been thinking - why not start a dailybarr.com? That way the pro Barr crowd can post their own forum topics without having to argue every point, and anyone who supported Dr. Paul but is now interested in Barr can go sign up on that site. The beauty of this idea? No more "troll" name calling, and if you want you can have an account on BOTH sites! Or you can just stay at dailypaul and continue to focus on more RP related issues.

Eh, I think Ruwart was a
Eh, I think Ruwart was a better candidate but the LIbertarians wanted better name recognition. . .so there you have it!

Who all hear has voted for someone....
and regretted it later? I'm sure a lot of you have. So why are we forgiven yet Barr or anyone else who voted for something such as the Patriot Act is not? Since I voted for Bush in 2004 and regret it am I never forgiven for that? Am I not worthy to hang with the Perfect crown on Daily Paul?
I say vote your conscience...
...even if that means that you're quote-wasting your vote.
...it's just that there's been a lot of Barr spam and trolls on the Daily Paul lately. We have a Revolution March on July 12th in Washington, D.C. and a convention in Minneapolis, MN coming up. We need to focus on those things and Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty.

What is the Campaign for Liberty?
Explain it to me....
What kind of drinks?
Just wonderin 'zackly what kind of drinks they be servin at this DailyBar?
Will it be kinda like the CornerTavern?
From what I have seen
here lately the drink of choice would probably be kool-aid.
Well,
I guess all the Barr-haters should just be consequent and demand that the Ron Paul supporters in NC's 3rd district should not vote for Dr. Paul's friend, Walter B. Jones, who was a Democrat, switched over to the GOP and was one of the staunchest supporters of the Iraq war, voted yes AND took the initiative to rename "french fries" to "freedom fries". Like Barr, Jones has also seen the light and changed totally about the war, endorsed Dr. Paul and faces a lot of criticism from some GOP quarters. Right?

Bob Barr still thinks we
Bob Barr still thinks we should give aid to the Columbian government to help them fight the War on Drugs. It's on his website. He's not very smart, I guess. Perhaps he's just wanting to keep protecting old CIA "assets"???

We should encourage baby
We should encourage baby steps by anyone and keep fighting for the rest. Many fiscal conservatives who like Paul but support the war still voted for Ron Paul in the primaries. We shouldn't discourage those people even if they don't pass the litmus test. It is still a vote in our direction.
I'm willing to be patient, but withhold my vote from anyone who I don't think
is genuine. Only time will tell.
Peace.
JKap wants to know who is 'with him'
Only about a dozen or so people are 'with you' JKap, everyone else here wants you guys (most of the ones who posted on this thread) to stop the freaky abuse and ranting and raving.
What annoys me the most is that someone posts a nice thread asking for civility, you guys retaliate thinking the namecalling days might be over and EXPLODE. Keepin it alive.
If Barr is so totally bad, you should be able to turn people off him easily.
You are just determined to have your own way and stop people talking about him at ALL. I don’t know what you THINK you are but you BEHAVE like a fascist, don’t you get that? You want flagging to shut people up, you want to scream at people to shut them up, swear at them, abuse them to shut them up, you want an ignore button. You kind of act in a gang. You behave like Fascists as far as I am concerned. Whatever you SAY you are, it's your behavior that matters.
And everyone is a ‘troll’ – it’s really quite insane.
here is an example:
"the trolls and his camp will reach a point at which they pop and collapse violently. With the gnashing of teeth in their agony."
This guys getting a bit umm overexcited.
And JKap are the worst. By far.
I'm going to bed now.

I'd just like to mention...
...that those are not my words, which you seemed to be insinuating. That was ignoble and disingenuous of you..
"the trolls and his camp will reach a point at which they pop and collapse violently. With the gnashing of teeth in their agony."
So, you think putting words into my mouth strengthens your argument? I defy you to produce the alleged source of those words that you have ascribed to me.
I support Ron Paul and the Campaign for Liberty. Like Necon-Putsch thug Michael Reagan said, you got a problem with that? Deal with it.

Do you take any responsibility for misrepresenting me, "AnnieGun"? I'd like to know.

Since she may still be asleep
I will say she is referring to somthing I asked Sarge about, not referring to you. Anyway, the thought that we are somehow abusing the people here who have cornered the market on how to harass someone is a joke that is getting a little old.
Out of context
who's pointing finger's. Man you try to pursue peace and get attacked by everyone because your taking the high road.
Bubbles
On June 19th, 2008 SSgT_AF says:
Its just a description of his rapidly rising trolls, especially here at the Daily Paul, that some of us feel is unfounded. I use this in naming him because, like a bubble, the trolls and his camp will reach a point at which they pop and collapse violently. With the gnashing of teeth in their agony.
I got a better idea
Why not launch a Bob Barr Blimp?
!
haha!
"The sinews of war are infinite money" ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero
I was Anti-Barr then...
I followed a link to a Barr video to "sell us" on him.... the whole video is asking him why he changed his mind on... Iraq.... Patriot Act.... Drugs.... 9/11....
His answer for the Patriot Act was that they promised they wouldn't use it for bad things.... OMG!!
He believed them!!
I had to turn it off
"Whether you think you can or think you cannot, you're absolutely right!"
"Whether you think you can or think you cannot, you're absolutely right!"
Yes, Barr's excuse for the Patriot Act vote is insulting
It's the same type of lame excuse he gave for rubber stamping the Iraq war. Barr obviously knew how bad the Patriot Act was before he voted on it, because otherwise he wouldn't have to try and cover his ass by making excuses.
So who did you vote for in the last election...?
Did you make a mistake, by any chance...?
One victory that Barr was able to achieve with the Patriot Act that you are not crediting him with: He is the one responsible for ensuring it had an expiration date. As he said, those were highly emotional times and lawmakers were being ruled by their fear. It was going to get passed with or without him. By voting for it, he got to have input -- and he is the one who made certain the act had an expiration date.
sunset
he put the sunset clause in it and they agreed so he felt obligated to vote for it. Voting against it and not participating in the debate to fight for the sunset clause would have been a real disaster because the bill still would have passes only with out the Barr sunset clause so it would have an end date. Now if we could just get the other idiots in Congress to stop renewing the thing we would be ok
So, You're Saying....
Essentially you're saying that you did not bother to listen to the rest of what he had to say...?
How many times during this election did you ask bloggers to look further than the sound bytes and listen to what Ron Paul had to say...? I'm just curious.
dailybarr would be a joke
Like the Huckabee or McCain forums, it would be good for a laugh but not much else.
We're all Constitutionalists...
Both the framers of the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution had points in which they had to compromise, the abhorrent issue of slavery being the best example. I would be comfortable with Ron Paul, Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin. Ron Paul certainly sems to be comfortable with these two gentlemen as well. What if Ron Paul ran with Congressman Barr or Pastor Baldwin? Would you immediately castigate him?
The wealthy and powerful frequently contribute to opposing candidates. There is nothing to say we cannot due the same, hedging our bets.
Opposing Candidates...?
They are not opposing candidates. They are the men who stepped up to the plate as Ron Paul stepped aside.
Ron Paul is no longer running for the Republican nomination. He is running for his congressional seat in Texas, and I have donated to his congressional campaign.
Just look at em all...
...filing in like fire ants.

Tell Me....
What does that mean to you -- to support Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty...?
Hey Hey HEY!
I've been sending Barr supporters to dailybarr for the last month or so!
Now you are telling me there is no such site? Well, go figure!
*Grin*
Looks as though my idea has gained momentum!
"Go to dailybarr for personal contact with barr-rites or barr-boneans or barr-barrions?
As for me, I will follow Ron Paul's lead. He's been working at this for over 20 years, I guess those of us who love and understand him, believe in the Constitution and freedom, can wait a while longer.
No
They'll go there to recruit more to come here. Their like a plague. Oh the horror. The horror!
I would volunteer to start
I would volunteer to start up that website, but I'm not really interested in Barr.
...
What...?
I am very bewildered by those who post suggesting that Barr's supporters are not Paul's supporters. The candidates for the Libertarian nomination all waited quietly and respectfully in the wings, wishing the best for Ron Paul's run. To think of them as the enemy is ludicrous. He was once the LP's presidential candidate himself, as you surely recall.... Sure, there are curmudgeons in the LP who don't want to see him under the Republican banner, but you can hardly fault them for that.
When it became evident that Ron Paul's candidacy was winding down, the LP candidates started stepping up to the plate -- to continue Ron Paul's message, not to compete with it. You didn't expect them to wait to the last minute, did you?
Bob Barr is trying to continue where Ron Paul has left off -- by having an option for liberty on the ballot this November. The positive thing about this is that the media smells blood, and they are circling in to see if Barr can kill McCain's candidacy. Now, they are most certainly motivated by a desire to see Obama prevail, but this does give Barr many opportunities to continue with the fight. You do want to see that message publicized, don't you?
I swear libertarians are their own worst enemies. Stop shooting yourselves in the foot, people!
