Vernie is a friend of mine. She's cool!

I don't know too much about this sort of thing, but rather than individuals going it alone against the IRS, would it be possible to stage a class action lawsuit. It would not be the case of people trying to evade paying taxes. In fact, perhaps people would complete their tax returns and submit them to a court with any owed money set aside in a trust somewhere. And then, prior to the returns and money being turned over to the I.R.S. force the I.R.S. to present their evidence in a court of law.

I would hope that those involved in the case would not be prosecuted for trying to evade paying taxes. Of course, I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this and there's legal reason's why this wouldn't work.

I recall very well Vernie’s fight. At the time, though I saluted her courage, I feared she was being reckless and that we would lose another fierce patriot face down in the brutal government mire. Though I’ve lived these fights I hated to see someone of Vernie’s caliber with such determination to pursue a path that I thought would lead precipitously to another marginalized martyr’s sacrifice…Lost to the cause.

I was wrong. It was not premature for her to make her stand. It was simply…..Bold, Noble.

Her costly triumph was truly heroic. She has an inspiring and wonderful story to tell.
