"Ron Paul sees the world in rose-colored glasses." do you agree?
Dr Paul also sounds just like the "blame America 1st" crowd, apologetic to the terrorists etc etc and many other smears says Libertarian VP and "Ron Paul Libertarian" Wayne Allyn Root
If you agree then you know what to do.
I already have my doubts on Barr changing his former views. But his VP is a total Neo Conservative. He donated $1000 to Joe Lieberman and ZERO to Ron Paul. Check the FEC records.
heres his Ron Paul hit piece. I love how he sells his message. he writes it so well as if to sound not too anti Ron Paul. Its all from an article he posted on his website
http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/021315.html
the original post was here on the DP. Ill post it when I find it. Its all on douchebag Root's website anyways
heres the DIGG link if youd like to help wake up more Ron Paul supporters before Wayne Root takes over all Ron Paul's hard work and destroys it
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Wayne_Allyn_Root_on_Ron_Pa...

Yes, he does seem to be an optimist.
Dr. Paul is a knight in shining armor, defending Liberty from those that would defile Her. He is quite possibly the bravest man in America, and a fine human being. ( "The difference between an optimist and a pessimist is that an optimist believes this is the best of all possible worlds, and a pessimist is afraid they are right". Can't remember who said that.)
so you agree with Wayne Root?
I see what you mean? but do you agree with Root that Ron Paul is a terrist appologist and like the blame America 1st crowd? thats what he mwans by Dr Paul seeing the world in Rose colored glasses. actually thats what he said right after

Baldwin, Howard Phillips and
Baldwin, Howard Phillips and Barr are all friends since years. Phillips mentioned Barr also during the Kansas CIty convention of the CP positively, while he was making his fiery attack on Keyes as a "neocon." Barr is a traditional conservative, libertarian orientated, and now more libertarian than before.
Alll three of these friends are also personally pro-life and part of the "Religious Right", while Root is pro-choice and not so socially conservative. Kubby would have been better perhaps but not so hot either. I think Dr. Karen Kwiatkowski would have been the perfect VP for Barr and they may well have worked well together.
Whatever the color of Ron Paul's lenses
he probably "sees" the current situation in our countrymore accurately than any other person and I thank him for his accurate perception.
IT'S DOABLE

"Does anyone want a TALL glass of Rootbarr!" No!
It's time to bar barr and put root in the root cellar! Come on guys stop with this crap already.

Obviously
I, along with many others were really disappointed about Root's remarks, not that I ever really trusted him. He clearly does not understand the whole issue yet, and rode on his so called media savyness. Root; record is very well known to me. He did sound different in this interview though:
http://www.libertymaven.com/2008/06/23/libertarian-vp-candid...
I and also many Barry supporters at Denver wished that someone else would be Barr's VP. I was rooting strongly many times for the convention on thirdpartywatch for a Barr-Ruwart ticket. Unfortuantely she did not want it.
Barr is a DIFFERENT person than Root, you cannot compare them at all. Root does not really know anything about politics IMHO and by own admission. Luckily the VP will not play a significant role.
Barr on the other hand is a serious and honest and genuine person. I do trust him. His "conversion" on many issues is NOT recent, he has been fighting the Patriot Act since 2004 (or late 2003), and was first against it. Listen
to the interview in 2005 of Chuck Baldwin with Bob Barr (on Baldwin's site chuckbaldwinlive.com under interviews. There are also other interviews in 2004 and 2005 with Alex Jones and Scott Horton for instance.
Correct if I am wrong
I thought I heard on the Alex Jones / Bardwin interview that the Constitution party almost nominated this Root guy too. Why would these 2 supposedly libertarian/ contitution first parties want him to represent them. It makes me really leery of either party. Of course all parties have been pretty much infiltrated.
no victory the Constitution party almost elected Alan Keyes
but in the last day of the convention the CP founder Howie Phillips got up and gave a speech that shook the floor of the convention
heres a part of the speech where he dissed Keyes and called him an Enemy of Ron Paul
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=to0YzPFhVv0
thats why the delegates nominated Chuck Baldwin mainly because of the fact that hes a Ron Paul supporter who also endorsed and campaigned for the good Doctor

Thanks for the clarification
So the consensus is both Keyes and Root and Barr are considered neo-cons even by their own party members or at the very least defininately not on the same page with important issues as Ron Paul and Baldwin.
I wouldnt call Barr a neocon but I dont trust him at all
but his VP is a neocon and he chose him knowing what he is.
He seems to me like the kind who will compromise principle for political gain. thats why after Dr Paul the best choice in my opinion is our fellow revolutionary Dr. Chuck Baldwin

Root is a chameleon. He may even be a decent guy...but he'd change his tune in exchange for power. In other words, he's a politician.
Wayne Root is dreadful by the sounds of it
Why is he still there?
"What does conservatism today stand for? It stands for war. It stands for power. It stands for spying, jailing without trial, torture, counterfeiting without limit, and lying from morning to night."
Lew Rockwell
Well since Barr struck a deal with him and asked his supporters
to back root its over. Barr's supporters already nominated Root. Just imagine Dr Paul asking us to support Rudy Giulliani or John McAmnesty which isnt going to happen.
btw I appologised to you last night for being rude on the Ron Paul 9/11 thread. my appology is there hope you have no hard feelings. have a good day

if rose colored glasses means the glass is half full....
...then: I do not see Dr. Paul as seeing the glass half empty or half full. I see Dr. Paul as seeing the glass as 50% water and 50% air. He is a master strategician, and is not necessarily interested in the short game, if that is all it is. If there is a precedent to be set, then the long game is worth it for him. He is calculated, savvy, and his timing is near perfect. That he comes off naive or quixotic is a misinterpretation of his honesty and persistence. Think of the many interviews where he has slam-dunked the anchors, belying their best efforts to stump him with gossipy trash, polls, and rhetoric. He owns them.
This admirable, yet confusing to some, focus on the distant target is what drew me to Dr. Paul once I discovered his long fight against tyranny.
People like Paul come once or twice in a lifetime in my opinion. No, I am not readying myself for a kool-aide Revolution function...but seriously...someone who has dedicated much of his life to a great cause, undisturbed by the sewage floating around him, it is an inspiring opportunity to realize that the human spirit is alive and well. Except, in this sense, as compared to a stellar artist or gifted athlete, it is a Statesman-politician. A rarety, making him that much more ethereal, unbelievable...a phenomenon.

Did you see him at the
Did you see him at the Libertarian Convention on CSPAN....
hahaha, he started punching air and shouting "BAM!" when he won the VP slot as predicted.... so, he was like waayyy over-energetic for losing/winning 2nd place in a loser party... it was really funny.
His eyes/voice scare me.... he's really hyper or something... and he comes off really pushy. And his hair is annoying...
The title and the post contradict each other
I'm guessing you're asking if people agree with you that Ron Paul's beliefs are more optimistic than they should be and that Root is more blind to the misconception that terrorists are only opposed to american prosperity-so he smears Ron Paul.
Ron Paul's view is the best it can be for a man who doesn't see any other leaders who are speaking out against the great evil of the Federal Reserve and the government backed industrial complexes (medical, media, military). I think he plays his suspicions low key and reinforces the common mistrust of our corrupt government, and if you want the majority of people to follow you and the media to cover you then this is the course he should be taking.
Barr and Root aren't getting my vote, Baldwin and Nader and McKinney aren't either. If there's a concerted effort to push all the third party candidates into the 10-20% range then maybe I'll consider joining the operation to gridlock the elections, but otherwise its PAUL ALL THE WAY.

I wonder how you thought that I believe Root's views on Dr Paul?
I was asking if people agree with Root's views
did you even read my op?

Maybe you should look up the meaning of "neoconservative"
A person can support military intervention and not be a neoconservative. That's not what defines neoconservativism. It depends on the goal of that intervention. If it's to nation build and force democracy into other countries, yes. But if it's perceived necessity for self-defense, no. For instance, Dr. Paul supported military intervention in Afghanistan, but that doesn't make him a neoconservative, because he didn't want them to go into nation building.

On that vote...
...Ron Paul voted with the neocons and the Bilateral War Party. That was unfortunate, especially because the whole pretext of the 9/11 "wars" was a lie.
Perhaps Dr. Paul can do some penance and you'll stop bringing it up, since you claim to be a Ron Paul "supporter," but it's pretty transparent that you're a disinfo troll who doesn't support Ron Paul or the Campaign for Liberty. Tell us, how much have you contributed to the Ron Paul for President Campaign or the Campaign for Liberty? How many hours did you spend petitioning, canvassing, phonebanking, sign-waving, marching or becoming a delegate? Did you even vote for Ron Paul in the primaries?
How does it feel to be a disinfo troll?

Maybe that's because it's correct definition.
To your question, not necessarily. A neoconservative can support that, and a person that is not a neoconservative can support that. You would have to gather more information on the person's outlook and philosophy to be able to judge whether he's a neoconservative.
