Who Would Kick @SS? Just for fun :-)

The contest here is between Obama or Ron Paul. RP sure needs some help. First I've seen this site and other fun topics there too. Section for 'political' has one for Dollar vs. Gold, gold way ahead.

Just for old times, give RP a vote here!

page moves on as more added.

you know it! vote'em up where he belongs :)

The DP is proof that the grassroots support for Ron Paul and his peaceful message of individual liberty is large, real, and not going away!

That is a weird site

I didn't see the Obama, Ron Paul one. Someone said about color and gender matters. For me it would not because I really believe it is the individual not the package, but I think I may be a minority on that. If Dr. Paul was black or a woman I would be rooting for him just as much. That is what I like about being an Independent. Peace

Yes, you (and I) are in the

Yes, you (and I) are in the minority there.

Like I said: look at the Democratic Party primaries. A race with a woman and a minority as the main contenders. That was a unique and historic opportunity to examine modern American sentiment. What it shows is quite clear: Americans still categorize people along ridiculous and arbitrary lines that have nothing to do with ability.

We are still a racist and sexist country, to very large degree. This cannot be refuted without providing some other explanation for those primary results.

I am as vehemently against political correctness as anyone, but to say that racism and sexism are based on nothingness is not being PC, it is being truthful.

Freedom Rules!

Paul

I of course would (and did) choose Paul, but I'm not sure he would actually win. Before everyone piles on me, think about the reality of America: we have become utterly shallow.

Without meaning to offend anyone, I submit that the "change" everyone is hyped up over is Obama's skin color. People want to show the world that we're finally over the race issue. That's reasonably noble, but it's absurd when we're talking about electing our leaders. That should be about issues. Let the shallow Americans pick an African-American winner on American Idol or something; this is too important for such nonsense.

At any rate, I just don't think people would care that Paul was infinitely more qualified. They're voting on emotion, not brains.

By the way, the link changes as people add new polls. Here's a direct link to the Paul/Obama one: http://www.whowouldkickass.com/political/ron-paul-vs-barack-...

I would have to disagree on the race issue...

In my opinion -- yes folks, MY OPINION -- people are attracted to Obama because he is young and fresh and has grandiose ideas. Not someone who's been in politics for 30 years or more like Hillary and McCain. People are looking for someone with fresh ideas like Obama and Ron Paul, not someone who's been in office forever and hasn't done one thing different in all that time. As for me, it doesn't matter what color his skin is nor does it matter that Hillary's a woman.

But color and gender DO

But color and gender DO matter to a great many Americans. Just look at the Clinton/Obama primary contest: to an overwhelming degree, women voted for Clinton, African-Americans voted for Obama. Nobody's going to tell me those facts are meaningless or coincidental. They illustrate the absolute shallowness of the American electorate. That's not to single out women and blacks; men tended to not vote for Clinton and whites tended to not vote for Obama. Division along meaningless lines is alive and well in this country.
