Thanks for the Bump. There were over 20,000 precinct leaders on the www.ronpaul2008.com website. A donation of four dollars from each would give Evan Cutler, the founder of the www.dvds4delegates.com project, the money he needs to complete a high quality project which would deliver four newly created DVDs to every Republican delegate and alternate in the entire country!
IT has become evident that there is a disconnect or inability to reach everyone in the movement. THere is an overlap between those who donated to Ron Paul, those who voted for him number over 1.1 million, the precinct leaders (21,000) who knows how many would vote for Ron Paul if he were the candidate, tens of millions.
I think the best way to organize this movement is for precinct leaders to contact those who donated to Ron Paul in their Congressional districts, get their email addresses to facilitate future contacts with them. Once that is done each can be encouraged to inform people in their day to day lives about the movement and surely the numbers will grow and grow over the years. At some point it becomes realistic to run candidates for office at every level.
This will or should be possible to happen if each of us does his or her share. At present there are two projects which are worth supporting.
One is the www.dvds4delegates.com project to convert, enlighten Republican delegates which might lead to a nomination for Ron Paul in Sept in Minneapollis.
The other is the www.givemeliberty.org petition project of Robert Schulz which will happen on June 30th. THe seven signed petitions will be submitted to congressmen and women next Monday in their district offices all across the country. Then on July 11th the various district appellate courts will receive lawsuits filed by plaintiffs seeking redress. This will lead to the US Supreme court to address this phenomenon especially after fourty days pass on August 8th and Robert Schulz begins his fast in Washington D.C between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial, joined by others in the movement.
Schulz thinks this will lead to success long before political action throught the ballot process accomplishes anything. We will soon see. I do find myself fearing for loss of my job as I work for a private company which contracts with the state. Also fear the IRS would begin to audit me as long as I work. I am quite intimidated. I am sure they have my name already as I am a member of the LP for years.
