to all those attacking Chuck Baldwin because hes a Christian
Pastor. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves. You claim Libertarian principles when youre discriminating against a Christian. Baldwin dosent wear his religion. It just happens that hes a pastor.

he does wear his religion
He puts out bible verses for why jesus supports the second amendment.
I have no problem with someones religion. But it should not be interjected into politics in this way. Of course the people that claim predjudice against christians, are the same ones that spread the Obama is a muslim meme.
I also don't like religious men in politics because they claim to have a special insight into truth that is intuitive, not rational. They just Know. That's fine for your own life, but not for government.
Nice
Good find, only 14 years ago, not 20!

Any chance of Baldwin-Paul ticket?

government of the people, by the people, for the people

no
chance, unfortunately Baldwin/CP does not have any chance of winning, as they will definitely not be on the ballot in all states, so it is mathematically impossible.
not much
Dr Paul has chosen to stay with the Republican party. He's in some good committee positions in DC and it's important for him not to give that up. The CP offered him the nomination, but he turned it down. Baldwin would back out if Paul decided he wanted it. A Paul/Baldwin or Baldwin/Paul ticket would be great.
No
Darrell Castle is Chuck Baldwin's running mate.
Good Point about Huck
the 2 cannot be compared politically -
as Baldwin is all for "bringing down the NWO"
he is not in with the CFR as Huck - who had Richard Haas (President of CFR) on his board.... (thankfully nothing came of that)
Baldwin does not give the appearance of ever getting bought out by the elite.
I am not a Christian, and
I am not a Christian, and some of Baldwin's beliefs bother me, but, unlike Huckabee, he does not scare me AT ALL. I am certain he would follow the constitution MUCH better than any other candidate but Ron. I also do not think the CP will be on my ballot here in AR, because they shut down some years ago. However, put up against any other candidate that has not suspended, I would vote for Baldwin in a NY minute. I trust him. He is a good man and stalwart. I waited to be sure, but now I am.
Huckabee has that "look into
Huckabee has that "look into my eyes and be tranformed into a zionist zombie" type thing going. I mean he scared me just seeing him on tv knowing that he was nothing but a zionist buttsucker.
Ron Paul 2012
Independent
Here is the ballot access progress for the Constitution Party. Chuck Baldwin will be running as an independent candidate in Arkansas.
i will most likley vote for
i will most likley vote for him
Not only is he as principled as Dr. Paul
but he is as articulate as well. If Paul doesn't through some miracle get the RNC nomination, and Baldwin's endorsement, I will be hard pressed as to whether to write Paul in or vote for Baldwin.

That does not support your generalization
Continuing the thread below:
That does not support your generalization, since the "research" of both of these sites are themselves unsupported (and incomplete).
And I find it humorous that the second site that you listed, http://mfoster.com/misc/write-in_rules_2008.html, cites write-inronpaul.com as a "resource used in assembling this list," when in fact write-inronpaul.com redirects to bobbarr2008.com, as I posted to the Daily Paul recently.

Michigan is not "most states"
That still does not support your assertion that "...write-in vote[s] most states clearly state will not be counted ..." Michigan is not "most states" last I checked.

As I Said
I am not about to go look up all fifty states. What does the state law say where you live?
This was the generalization that you made...
"...write-in vote[s] most states clearly state will not be counted ..."
I would think that you could clearly support such a broad generalization.
I don't know about my state yet. I'll be doing my homework over the next few months.

You Won't Accept My Evidence
You won't accept the evidence that I have submitted, and right now, I don't have a better source without doing the research myself. What state do you live in? I can get you an answer pretty quickly, I am sure.
I am not sure what you want from me that I have not already offered.
To all who are reading this conversation, do your own research and, if you feel so led, post your findings here.
Illinois here...
...and remember, Illinois is not "most states."

Here is Your State Law
According to Illinois state law:
So Ron Paul cannot run for President in the state of Illinois unless he wins the Republican nomination.
Thanks for the info!

My Response from Below
How does this work for you. I am not about to go to all 50 states, but this is the law in my home state of Michigan.
I am sure that you will find similar provisions in many more states around the country. Check out your own state laws for yourself. I did a Google search for "michigan write-in election law".
Ditto, California, I believe

Barr on UN, NAFTA, etc.
I asked this below, but I think it got lost in the deep layers of the conversation. Chuck Baldwin is very firmly against NAFTA, CAFTA, the WTO, the UN, and any attempt at a North American Union.
Does anyone know what Barr's positions are on these issues?
I did not see these addressed on his web site (which may be indicative in and of itself). As the Council of Foreign Relations is pushing for a North American Community by 2010, I believe that these issues are perhaps the most critical in our next president.
He talks about NAFTA here

Warning: video starts playing immediately.
This is a one hour show with Glenn Beck. (If the Glenn Beck show doesn't play due to website update, look for it on the page.)
NAFTA is mentioned in the last five minutes. It's worth a listen as most of the interesting stuff comes before that. He's not a Ron Paul clone, but you can see why Barr made the motion to have the LP ask Dr. Paul to run on the LP ticket; they have more similar ideas than most in Congress.

Thank You
That was very informative and gives me a much clear picture of who Bob Barr is. I would not be opposed to supporting him, though I still lean toward Baldwin personally. I think both candidates have strong platforms.
I Don't Understand
all the anti Christian stuff here - just because the guy is a Pastor ....
He is running for President of the USA - and his platform is to reinstate
the Constitution and restore the Republic. If he was a Buddist I would
expect him to speak within those parameters - as long as he was still
running a pro Constitution campaign. A lot of what I am reading seems
to be like Obama voters (Not Reading The Issues) if you have gone
to Baldwin's website and read all of the issues stated and watched the
videos of him speaking on each individual issue page - then, no problem -
you don't like him based on his message. I am a bit curious about writing
the guy off because of his spiritual beliefs. One more thing -
there are some huge issues he is talking about like ... ending Iraq war
NOW and bringing all troops around the world home and not going into
Iran or any intervention with any nation or policing the world -
Soverignty - USA - border control - small government - Fix the Fed -
no IRS - etc... no Real ID or NAU ... get out of the UN and get them out
of the USA... (wow, sounds like another great Patriot I voted for in the
Primaries and continue to support)
CB believes in freedom of religion (or no religion) for everyone in the USA
oh well, that's it for me - the state I live in doesn't allow me to vote
for RP so I am most likely voting for Chuck Baldwin -
because he supports the Freedom Message of RP and is a huge RP
supporter himself. It's a no brainer!
Well said
You said that very well. I really like the guy's message but it still concerns me how he goes about spreading his message. That's all. If i was a candidate and said I'm a racist redneck that wants to hate everyone, and want everyone else to hate everyone, and I want my gun to make sure no one I don't like gets out of hand yadda yadda yadda, my message is that of following the constitution, but I would state my position in what I believe to be devisive terms. That's an extreme example, but I believe to be a similar case none the less. I just wish he would tone down the religious ideas in a political forum, that's all.
Also I urge everyone to also go to another presidential candidate's website and look strictly at the issues, and that candidate's name is Bob Barr.
Can you answer my question?
I went to Barr's website looking for his stance on NAFTA, the UN, etc., and I found nothing. Are you able to answer the question I posted above?
