Congress wants Naval Blockade of Iran - An Act of WAR!

Really, writing to the 220+ co-sponsors of this monstrous piece of work may convince a few of them to distance themselves from it, but it won't stop anything.

The resolution has been sent to the House Committe on Foreign Affairs, http://www.govtrack.us/congress/committee.xpd?id=HSFA - focus on making sure that every one of these people know that this resolution is a literal act of war, and make damn sure they know we know it, too.

This is no joke,I heard about this a week or so ago in one of these threads.Nancy Pelosi also removed a part of a bill that would require Congressional approval before going to war with Iran,as per AIPAC.So when I heard of House Concurrent Resolution 362/or HR 362 I wrote my Congresswoman (who is a co-sponsor BTW).This is her response....

Dear Faron:

Thank you for writing to me with your concerns of possible military action against Iran . I appreciate your taking the time to share your views.

I am alarmed that the Bush administration continues to raise the possibility of a pre-emptive strike against Iran . Our experience in Iraq has demonstrated the clear need for Congress to protect and fulfill its Constitutional responsibilities in matters of war and peace. As you know, I voted against the Iraq war in 2002. I did not believe the Administration's arguments for military action then and I do not perceive any profound reasons now. I stated to the President then that we need to exhaust our diplomatic options.

Congress needs to play a role in shaping our nations foreign policy and the President should welcome our input. We must work together to figure out a way to bring Iran back into the international community.

Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts. Please know that your comments and questions are always welcome. I look forward to hearing from you in the future.

She was clearly of the mind that Iran had to be brought to some kind of servitude of the U.S.,I had informed her that her concern was to protect the civil liberties of District 30 and not the affairs of other nations.I also brought up why it is that AIPAC was dictating U.S. policy,and the Constitutional ramifications of war without Congressional approval. I got about the same response as Dr. Paul's speech in the House (a bang of the gavel.....NEXT!)

these creeps have taken an oath to protect the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. In order to follow their oath of office, they each need to go home and put a bullet in their head. I will volunteer to pay for the ammo for any congressman or senator that should choose to follow their oath and defend the constitution via suicide!

of contacting my reps that the ones who are sponsoring this will not back down,(not to discourage you from trying), but, however, also from my experience that if we contact the cosponsors, and they get enough calls, letters, emails, they very well may. I looked and my rep has not cosponsored it, so I am emailing them thanking them for not cosponsoring it, and of course asking them to NOT vote for it.
