People are turning Nevada State convention into disinformation hub UPDATE

0 votes

Just got off the phone with various state coordinators and there will be NO re-startup of the campaign. Whoever is spreading this information is doing a disservice to Ron Paul and the goals he has set for the remainder of the campaign season and beyond.

Unfortunately, a win in Nevada does not equate the beginning of a re-campaign for President. What it means is that we are passionate about the message of liberty and freedom and will fight until the end.

I am not really sure why people are serving up false hope to Ron

Paul supporters. The Nevada GOP convention win changes nothing.

I don't even think you will hear Dr. Paul say anything about it and here is why. It takes 5 states to nominate from the floor, we don't have the votes.

Second, even those in charge of the convention say it was not about the candidates, it was about a principled process.

Third, even if we manage to get 4 more states Dr Paul does not have the delegates. Here is an example of national delegates from Missouri- Senator Kit Bond, Gov Matt Blunt, State GOP chair Doug Russell. these people will never vote for Dr Paul and its the same way around the country.

Dr Paul may get an estimated 600 delegates max, not even close.

Just because a candidate wins a state it does not mean we take the convention, if that were true the Huckster would be in very good shape.

Although this is very good news it changes nothing when it comes to Ron Paul becoming the GOP nominee.

Bottom line there will be no announcement by Ron Paul to restart the campaign - concentrate on the campaign for Liberty.

As for the people peddling false hope that Dr Paul can now some how become the GOP nominee - shame on you.

Do you not think that come

Do you not think that come RNC time there won't be some ruckus because of this? The GOP will probably try to not recognize the legal convention conducted by the Revolution and it'll blow up in their faces.

Will Ron Paul get nominated from the floor? Probably not.
Will Ron Paul re-start his campaign? Probably not.
Will Bedr1 stop trolling the Daily Paul with downer *realist* threads like this that are seemingly blatant attempts at taking the steam out of the Revolution? Probably not.

Barr isn't going to get in the debates and neither will Baldwin. Neither of them are going to win the presidency either. We'll be lucky if even a marginal amount of people hear their message, much less actually let it sink in and marinade in their idiotic minds and cause them to vote differently than the herd.

Bedr1, you have done the Revolution a grave disservice with your constant bickering, personal attacks, trolling, shilling and threads like these. We know your opinion so please shut the f*ck up already.

NeoConned - really prove it and show where I personally attacked

From what I can tell you have - and from what I can tell is that you johnny come latelys to the Daily Paul are spreading false information and have total disregard for Ron Paul and what he is trying to accomplish.

But its obvious you have no way of actually having a civilized discussion on anything. If you don't like it you just refuse to debate.

Obviously there is no way to debate the truth, so I see why you would want to take the other path.

Four more

Four more states?

Washington, Louisiana, Montana, Pennsylvania...

The delegates still have the power to create a brokered convention by revolting on the convention floor.

REVOLT!

This is exactly what I am trying to say - get your info correct

Paul supporters fall short in Montana
By MATT GOURAS – Jun 20, 2008

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Sen. John McCain may be the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, but supporters of Ron Paul in Montana refused to abandon their candidate.

The group led an impassioned fight Friday at the Montana GOP convention, shaking things up in a failed effort to secure the state's 22 national convention delegates for Paul — who suspended his presidential bid earlier this month.

While the battle jazzed up a normally dull delegate selection process, Paul supporters could not muster enough votes to trump McCain's backers. In the end, McCain received all 22 delegates despite a close vote, party officials said.

Earlier in the evening, Paul told the crowd that his support in Montana was the best he had received anywhere.

"Montana's been treating me quite well," he said. "The spirit is alive here."

The Texas congressman praised the Montana GOP for letting him speak at their evening dinner and for giving his delegates a chance.

"This is has been one of the best — if not the best — in the way we have been treated," Paul said.

Paul was not a typical GOP convention headliner. He criticized nearly as many Bush administration ideas, such as wartime spending and No Child Left Behind, as he did Democratic ones.

But he received a warm reception from the crowd anyway with a message heavy on cutting government.

"We are talking about the fundamental beliefs of the Republican Party," said Paul, in what he characterized as likely the last speech of his suspended campaign. "These are issues that are important to me."

Paul's supporters said they would continue to fight for delegates at the national convention to honor the principles of the campaign, and as a way to continue pushing their ideals.

Paul finished second in Montana's Super Tuesday caucus — behind Mitt Romney and ahead of McCain, who came in third.

It's a free country and

It's a free country and people are allowed to think what they want. I'm sorry you have this grandiose idea that you are the one to steer this Revolution to victory down the line. You aren't. I don't care how much you think you are helping.....you aren't. You are causing derision which is counter productive to keeping the movement motivated. If people want to think that Ron Paul might get nominated from the floor by a miracle it is their Constitutional right to do so. If you don't think it's possible, that's your right as well. We all know one anothers opinions on the matter now so please shut your f**king word hole already you stupid cunt.

I heard on the MSM news

RonPaulLincoln
and I don't why I was listening to it, but they said that Obama and McCain were very interested in Nevada and they were setting up offices there for the election. It seems Nevada could be in the spotlight! I hope when it is in the spotlight, everyone sees the determination of liberty minded people!

The R3VOLUTION is just getting started!

RonPaulLincoln

Isn't the point of the

Isn't the point of the R3volution to spread Ron Paul's message of liberty? One very important way we have done this is by attending the conventions and acquiring delegates to serve on committees and vote on the platform. The shenanigans we have encountered have strengthened us. Not only have we learned about the political process and all the tricks, we have gotten some good press, our resolve has increased, and some regular republicans are seeing past Party rhetoric and learning about the message of freedom. There is no down side to this.

This post raises big flags in my opinion. The poster's motive is suspect. The poster's comments ring shallow to me. I don't hear the authenticity that accompanies the normal Ron Paul supporter.

Bedr- In my eyes you have some work to do. Your post is not the post of a true Revolutionist. Please prove me wrong.

REAL DEAL not sure what you mean

Do you mean that by me exposing the fact that people are posting out right lies, I am some how not a patriot?

That smacks of old GOP guard think.

No - to say that Ron Paul is going to start up the Presidential Campaign again because of a Nevada win is a lie - everyone who has been on the official campaign knows this.

To say that Nevada allows Ron Paul to be nominated from the floor is either a lie or incorrect information - It takes 5 states not one.

To say that we have enough delegates or can swing others to vote for Ron Paul at the national GOP convention is wrong and those that fought in the various state party conventions know this because they have NEOCON rammed down their throat as the delegates.

So if you want to pretend and make believe that Ron Paul is going to restart the campaign, go ahead.

But the owner of the Daily Paul will tell you otherwise as he is on the Campaign for Liberty.

So instead of wasting our time make believing that the Ron Paul campaign is going to start back up, real patriots are pushing the message.

have you ever had your sh*t

have you ever had your sh*t pushed in? You are getting close to the brink my man ;)

Just note here.

Just note here.

Paul to Blitzer: (supporters) "...some are very disappointed that the campaign isn't continuing and that there is not some chance that i could win at the convention, but that's not realistic."

So Paul himself says stealing the convention is not realistic.

Is that reason to not go. No, as supporter that really is no choice but press on. Everything Paul is doing now, everything Barr and Baldwin are doing is putting pressure on the other parties. It doesn't matter what any of you think of either of these people. All that matters is what the opposition thinks.

If you look at McCain vs Obama can anyone say that McCain can or would win here? Myself, i believe there are 2 parties sharing a single agenda. The McCain campaign openly admits that if they face Obama they will handle him with kid gloves for fear of race baiting retribution, which we all know is a farce from the get go. So it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks of the 3rd party candidates. All that is important is that the powers that be see that we have options that do no preclude buying their lies.

Supporting a 3rd party candidate right now is not giving up. It is essentially an ultimatum. But only if there is some kind of cohesiveness which we do not display at current time.

As soon as you decide to bitch about a 3rd party candidate and say nothing of the true opposition, which is the establishment. You are serving the establishment. They want nothing more then to not be targets and for you eat each others heads. You're suppose to be peeling off Obama backers but I see none of it. All I see Barr bashers letting Obama take a free ride.

Wninja you hit it on the head

Paul to Blitzer: (supporters) "...some are very disappointed that the campaign isn't continuing and that there is not some chance that i could win at the convention, but that's not realistic."

The problem is that everyone loves Ron Paul so much that they just can't come to the reality that he has ended his campaign. I wish he would have ran independent but he said no.

But for people to push false information that the campaign is starting back up is wrong.

fresh air at last

At last, some sound thinking expressed on daily paul. That other post about the Nevada covention did little more than froth up a mud puddle and give false hope. Mass brainwashing and soietial control of the sheeple has advanced way beyound the chair, bright lights, and physical pain.
www.ntl.org is one seed bed of dis-information if you dare, or google "The Frankfort School" and transformational marxism.

Culture is Religion externalized.

You are correct

This June 28th convention will not be recognized and a lot of people just waisted there money.

Everyone needs to show up in July at the Real NV Convention.

For all you who think Ron Paul has a chance, you need to wake up, writing in Ron Paul will not make any sort of difference. In fact, you vote will not even be counted unless there are enough write in vote to win the state.

You need to be looking at who is now your favorite candidate, McCain, Obama, Nader, Baldwin, or my personal favorite, Bob Barr.

Why I chose Bob Barr is because I believe he is now the best candidate to keep up the movement. He is a better speaker [something Ron Paul is not all that good at] and he knows his stuff, maybe not as good as RP, but he has really changed his ways. Watch his interviews on You Tube.

D. Bryan James
Republican Pct. Chair 218
Delegate to the Texas State Republican Convention

Or, I could go ahead and vote for the ONE candidate I support

Ron Paul. Writing him in is a waste, you say? Hmm,,, seems like I have heard that before.... like every time I cast a Libertarian vote. I do NOT support any other candidate, I will NOT "settle" this time, and if I am "wasting" my vote, at least I am living up to my own standards of voter conduct.
I will chew off my finger and write "Ron Paul" in my own blood if needed. And, I will keep hoping for miracles, cuz it costs me nothing and I have watched more people wake up every day. If nothing else pans out, may I point out that George Carlin was younger than John McCain, and looked healthier?

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

It'll Be Okay...

As long as you balance this hope with your negative bullshit... Nice try cocksucker... The only people who agree with you on this forum are your alter-egos... Keep doing what you do... It helps us to identify the enemy...

It's rEVOLutionary

What's hope got to do with it? It's a fight for representation, not hope. I wish ALL rEVOLutionaries fought so hard.

GO NV GO!!!! RON PAUL is worth it, eh bedr1?

WE ARE GOING TO WIN!

Granger as you can see I changed the title

However, you are missing the point.

Its about outright lies that people are spreading namely:

1) Ron Paul will now re-start the campaign

2) Nevada enables Ron Paul to be nominated from the floor

3) We have enough delegates to win

I am not being discouraging, I am trying to dispell false information versus reality.

I have seen your posts Granger and I have never seen you spread misinformation, and I don't think you ever will. I am all for pushing and fighting as hard as we can, but I am not for allowing people to manipulate others into thinking Ron Paul is going to restartup the campaign for President when he NEVER will.

STFU, bedr1. A solid step

STFU, bedr1.

A solid step forward for our movement! My time spent on billboard painting in NV is paying off. Ha Ha

"False hope"???

I'd say my writing, calling and visiting innumerable congressional persons these last several years, practically begging them to reconsider their abdication of constitutional duties and violation of oath to uphold and defend, in the face of astonishing evidence that many of them seem quite cognizant of their acts... that has been a lot closer to exercising genuine false hope... than taking a positive outlook on what has happened in the name of liberty these last several months championed by our good Dr. Paul.

To call ANY advancing step leading or lead around Paul "false hope" is truly ignorant defeatism, and has no place around here.

Why not call Obama/Clinton and expect them to ever clarify what it is exactly they hope to change for the betterment of "Democracy", international equity, and the dignity of ALL humanity irrespective race, religion, or "Citizenship"?

I fart in your general direction, bedr1.

I think its time for

I think its time for manystrom to do the samething to bedr1 that he did to justcantgetitup! ban the troll!

as for me and my home, we shall worship the LORD

“A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.” (Prov. 22:3; 27:12 KJV)

Hey McCain-----┌П┐(◣_◢)┌П┐

Thank you Sierrahpbt

I have to say I agree 100%. In a Revolution you have many battles in a big war...and one must take every win, as a sign of Hope and build on it. Bedr1 posts are insufferable, unnecessary and obviously the acts of a troll. So many people gave up so much yesterday to give us this little win...money, time, heart and soul. All Bedr1 does is discourage, belittle, and distrupt. He is not one of us and right now we need unity and concentrated effort.... This hope is not false, it is a sign of strength and the fact that when we focus we can accomplish much.

IT'S DOABLE

Alpacas - IT'S DOABLE

bedr1

I don't see the point of this thread, seriously.

The CFL is trying to encourage activism anywhere and everywhere. Many if not most of these races/efforts might turn out to not to have the result we want.

But any and all effort is good. I don't believe RP will likely become POTUS but I do believe the Nevada GOP is going to be taught a well-deserved lesson.

And anything can happen.

"What does conservatism today stand for? It stands for war. It stands for power. It stands for spying, jailing without trial, torture, counterfeiting without limit, and lying from morning to night."

Lew Rockwell

Anniegun the point is.............

that you just can't allow people to spread disinformation that is not true namely:

1. The campaign is going to restart up

2. Nevada allows Ron Paul to be nominated from the floor

3. That we have enough delegates or can turn enough delegates to win.

Those are all false statements that people are pushing out to do what?
So that people can find out a few days later that its not true and get even more discouraged about the message. Those people that are spreading this information will only cause the revolution to fail, because they are not sincere.

Anyone that has been fighting in the trenches all year knows that the Republicans that are delgates to the GOP national convention WILL NOT nominate Ron Paul. Only the people that did not participate in state conventions and caucuses are spreading these lies that Nevada changes everything. It doesn't and if it did we would already have heard from Ron Paul today, Jesse Benton or Debbie Hopper.

So if you want to keep the false information flowing, go ahead, but I will be proven correct everyday the Ron Paul campaign says nothing about this.

Here is what we must do according to the campaign:

Join Campaign for Liberty

Join the Republican Party and change it back

Spread the message

Push all candidates that spread the message

Show up in DC, and Minnesota

Thats it - there is no provision for restarting the campaign for President, I wish there was, I wish Ron Paul ran third Party, but he has chosen a different approach.

Go blow...

This is a Ron Paul SUPPORT SITE. If you are not here to support Dr. Paul & want to deflect good feelings for a RON PAUL Revolution VICTORY... go away. People in Nevada busted their ass here. It is a STRONG statement, especially in a state where people from All Over the Planet fly into on a daily basis.

Shame on you for for raining on a Revolution parade that people WORKED HARD FOR.

Obama = O.ne B.ig A.ss M.istake A.merica

while I think you're being a

while I think you're being a little harsh, I have to agree....

Let's not get our hopes up people. Let's just stay focused on the task at hand. That doesn't mean there's not still hope, but lets also be realistic and take one thing at a time.

Even though bedr1 is a dick, he makes a few good points....

-the cards are stacked against us. The RNC and state party probably will not honor this convention or the delegates (I'm afraid of what they'll do to punish us.... what if they take away delegates or something? We've already seen that they don't play fair).

-we need the majority of 5 states, and right now we don't even necessarily have one.

-delegates who are party elites/McCain supporters will not change their votes.

-the party itself will not allow McCain to be denied the nomination as long as he continues as the candidate.

Basically, the way I see it, we're going to need a miracle if we want the nomination. No way will the party take the nomination from McCain as long as he remains in the race.... so something has to happen to him.... he has to die, drop out (maybe for health reasons, or waking up to reality that he's going to lose). We need some situation where McCain is taken out of the picture and the slate is cleaned and we can have an even playing field. That's the only way we're ever going to have a shot. To be honest, we have no power over something like that happening. If it's meant to be though, then it'll happen.

Let's focus on spreading the message and campaigning right now. If the miracle happens and Ron gets the nomination he'll need a strong base to stand a chance. So we need to build that base by working hard for the Campaign for Liberty. And, if it doesn't happen, at least we will have spread the message even further.

We should also continue to educate the delegates....

And of course, give it our best at all the conventions....

But, let's keep our eye on the ball and not go crazy over Nevada... I congratulate everyone out there, but unfortunately, I fear your efforts may have been in vain.... You did your best, and you did great and we're all appreciative, but we haven't won yet, and we still have to fight the state party/RNC.... so just don't get your hopes up, if we do, we're likely to stumble, and if we stumble, we'll be helpless and unable to act when that miracle comes.

Of course you agree...

You're "one and the same"... Douche bag...

you're an idiot. So anyone

you're an idiot. So anyone agrees with bedr1 is actually him under the same name?

And I don't completely agree with him... I still think it's possible Ron Paul could win the nomination, it'll probably take a miracle/something that we wouldn't be able to control, but I think it's possible, and I even think there's a strong possibility something could happen....

plus, bedr1 is a bob barr troll, and i don't support bob barr.
