Our Hearts go out to Kent Snyder's family : Kent Snyder Ron Paul's Campaign manager has passed away
It is a sad day today.
We will be doing a segment tonight at 9pm eastern to honor Kent Snyder and show our respects to Mr. Snyder and his family.
We are setting up a fund for the Snyder family and we hope that Michael will help us with this.

Ron Paul 2008 Campaign Chairman Kent Snyder has died from complications related to pneumonia. It is hard to find words right now, but I wanted everyone to know how much this sweet, earnest and committed man meant to Ron, the staff, and the movement. The battle for human liberty and human dignity have lost a giant. Please join me in praying for his family, friends and many admirers.

Pneumonia killed many this year
Including young, healthy people. I caught a flu this year and ended up with pneumonia. Luckily I didn't need to be hospitalized, but it knocked me on my butt for almost 2 months. Several teens in the east died from one particular strain.
R.I.P. Kent Snyder. My condolences to his family and friends.

SGP, why are you collecting donations for Kent Snyder's family?
Sorry for asking this on a RIP Kent Snyder thread but I feel it is needed.
My sympathies go out to his family. Kent Snyder was a true patriot. Ron Paul's thoughts on him were moving.
From what I can find online, and from what I can remember, Kent Snyder was paid up to $50,000 a month to be RP's campaign manager. Add that money up over several months and that totals a great deal of money. I think if RP supporters find out that the family is in financial need, we can find out the address of his widow and personally send a donation. It would, in my opinion, be more appropriate to make a donation to the Campaign for Liberty in Kent Snyder's honor. Donations to the CFL would show that the movement that he believed in and was a major part of, will carry on. If we could all donate on one day in his honor, I believe it would be a kind gesture of respect and sympathy to his family.

Someone asked about a fund for the Snyder family and we said we would look into it.
Those big payments you see for Kent were not salary for they were payments for money he spent in expenses that needed to be paid back to him.
When we get more details we will let everyone know.

We don't know their financial situation.
Usually depleted after seious illness. Even with insurance, we had to sell my Dad's home.
It Happens
Occasionally, a pneumonia is particularly nasty.
But that doesn't make it easier.
I really send my best wishes and condonences to the family of Mr. Snyder. Nothing is worse than losing a family member prematurely.
Let's say a prayer and raise a glass to the memory of a good man cut down before his time.

It says I need a plug in that I can't seem to download to listen to the show.
You know, this is really creeping me out. Kent is a young, healthy-looking, slim man. There is no reason he should have died from Pneumonia. Old people and people with very bad immune systems die of Pneumonia. I hope we learn more about this situation. It is so sad.
