Many of you who have followed my media appearances over the years may have begun to doubt that I would ever get a fair shake from a mainstream media outlet. Although I still suffer attacks from many axe-grinding journalists and market cheerleaders, I was very pleased with the treatment I received in an interview that appears in this week's Barron's magazine.

But, for my money, I have always thought that Barron's was one of the best financial publications out there. The fact that they published my interview, unvarnished, with no ridicule on evidence, supports this view. If you subscribe on-line you will get the first four months free. Also, based on the Barron's interview, I finally (after 9 months) got a call from CNBC to appear on one of their programs. Although the network has been doing its best to downplay the messages that I am associated with, I guess the current market conditions, and my profile in other media sources may have forced their hand. Check me out tomorrow at 7:40 am (Eastern time) on CNBC's Squawk Box. It should be an interesting segment.

If you are thinking about investing in Europac's stock picks -
Obtain a list of the proposed stocks with their suggested weighting in percentage of each stock. Get the overall dividend return as a total of all dividends. Investigate each stock to see if you AGREE with their picks - at least you can kick your own ass if YOU are wrong. Decide if you really believe in the dividend concept, especially if you are young. And if you really understand Peter's concept AND you agree with it you have the means to invest in metals, currencies, ADRs and various country funds on your own. Lastly, if things will go the way of the wild goose as Peter thinks it will, why put money in investment bankers' hands, money that may disappear with a total bank / investment house failure. I think gold will go higher, the dollar down and the market will go lower (in nominal terms) - so holding gold, buying foreign bonds, and putting some hot cash in a fund like BEARX makes the most sense in safe investments. I like Peter and his theories but I want my money within easy reach when the pin pricks that bubble. Even Schiff says that calling Europac when the shit hits the fan will be impossible...

People on FOX give him a lot of abuse, but I'm sure Schiff and his clients are doing great with his investment plan. The advice CNBC and FOX gives is essentially worth what people pay for them. Those so called analysts are either government shills or idiot journalists who don't have to be accountable for their opinions.

Peter stands up to them as well as anybody. The folks
on many of the financial programs like to make fun of him and use his "super bear" reputation in order to marginalize the foundation of his message.
