Some Democratic Leaders say Impeachment is off the table.
So, let us set a new table for our nation, upon which we place the Constitution and where we demand that all those who have taken an oath to defend it .. keep their promise and protect our nation from the threat within.
Please go to kucinich.us now and sign the petition, which calls for impeachment. This is the one petition that will make a difference because I will be delivering it personally to your member of congress. Please circulate word of this petition far and wide, to all your friends and family. This is the one opportunity that we have right now to actually change events in this country.
Two hundred and thirty-two years ago, our nation was conceived in liberty. We have once again reached a moment of truth, one that Lincoln recognized at Gettysburg as to whether "this nation or any nation so conceived or so dedicated can long endure".
Through the ashes of war, Lincoln prayed that "this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom...and that government of the people, by the people, and for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
This Fourth of July, 2008, we face a different kind of war; one which is trying our souls.. a war based on lies. But with the power of truth and the power of the people we can achieve a new birth of freedom, standing up for what is good in America, insisting on the rule of law, demanding adherence to the Constitution, and supporting the impeachment of a President who lied to take us into a war against Iraq.

What Good Is Impeachment???
If no one will enforce it?
Impeachment?
I get it. I do. But why not simply do a better job as a Senate or as a House instead? It seems extreme to me. Rather than spend all this time and effort trying to impeach the president, why not simply stop funding the war and abolishing the Patriot Act? Seems like a more productive use of our representatives time and energy.

This is about KUCINICH, and not about a sincere effort for impeachment. This is all for self-aggrandizement. Kucinich is as phony as they come.

I saw that and I read that,but wasn't he the only Congressman who had the balls to do it? I would say yes!
The balls to do it?
He knew it wasn't going to succeed. He even voted along with the Democratic leadership to send it away to certain death in the Judiciary Committee instead of debating it in the House.
Going to Committee
is the proper way to do it. Ron Paul voted that way too. The fact that it faces "certain death" says more about the corruption within the Committee than it does about the bill and the desire of the American people.
That's
the customary way to send any proposal to its death. Voting to NOT send it away is allowing the matter to be discussed and voted on in the House.

James Goodin Let the anti-fisa folks in Obama's camp know about this too. I am sure they will put pressure on Obama to take a stamd on this issue. No democrat should sit back with this much wrong doing by a republican president unless they are complicit in these acts.

problem
Has anyone encountered a problem with the "address" section. It keeps on saying there is an incorrect or invalid character in my address and will not accept my petition. I even tried my old address, and it still won't accept it. Anyone else have similar problems?
