Discredit McCain
I've already created a slide show and video "John McCain is a real ..." which
debunks the myths about John McCain. I don't know if Keith Olbermann was talking about it, when he mentioned the "campaign to discredit McCain's patriotism by the left; and even, suprisingly, some on the right"; but, I do know it was emailed to at least 1,000 people. That doesn't sound like a lot, until you consider arithmetic progression. Also, the Barr, Baldwin, and, to some extent, Nader campaigns are capturing enough disgruntled voters so that McCain is trailing badly in many states and has tiny leads in even the most traditionally Republican states (see Zogby). McCain's daily stupid missteps are also helping, aided by their nightly recertation on MSNBC's COUNTDOWN. By the GOP convention, I'm hoping private tracking polls will have McCain below 20% in "Blue" states (under 10% would be even better). The powers that be would have McCain "withdraw for health reasons," leading to a brokered convention. By then, the economy and outrage at Congress could propel Ron Paul to the nomination. However, I still think he should have not suspended his campaign.

I think that it was up to America,not God. I think RP was our last chance for redemption. That is why I worked so hard on his campaign.
If I were ever to stand before my creator,I would guess I'd have to explain what I did to put a stop to the evil taking place on earth.
The only real chance I saw for RP,was teaming up with Jesse Ventura,and going independent. Too bad others didn't see it that way.
I will still keep my RP signs in the yard,and my bumper sticker. I will keep my RP/JV sig. as well.
I am afraid all we can do is brace for impact. Hope I am wrong.

unless God shows up with a real big gun, a battalion of tanks and stealth bombers, a real bad attitude, and makes RP President. And somehow I've come to believe over the years, that he isn't quite known for making that type of a grand entrance.

The only way that could happen is if there was an immediate mass mailing, like they used to do with the Publisher's Clearing house, you know? THEN, when people opened the envelope, a whole bunch of neurons jumped out at them and attached themselves to their brains, thereby doubling their reasoning power overnight and causing instant skepticism over the idea that when you have tried to solve a problem and failed, the way to solve it is to do the same thing again and again over and over again. These are sad times for anyone who craves freedom, with sadder ones yet to come while the country rejoices and jumps for glee over the antics of the clowns.

yes, yes it could.... But the possibilities are endless.... and if it's meant to be, then it'll happen. We just have to wait and see.... the opportunity could arise at any moment and come in any variety of ways.... that's why the Campaign for Liberty is so great. It allows us to continue to campaign on Ron Paul's platform and organizes us. That way, should he become the nominee we're somewhat prepared.
I think if it happens it'll occur in 1 of 3 ways:
1. John McCain concedes the nomination (either for health reasons, or recognizing he's going to lose). Or he dies/gets hospitalized, or he's denied the nomination from the delegates/party. Then the door is opened to Ron Paul.
2. Ron Paul decides to run 3rd party/independent (probably the most unlikely).
3. The election ends in a tie, and Ron Paul is chosen as a compromise? Also unlikely...
I prefer to just leave it a surprise.

It is unlikely, but in real life terms, it's the only chance.
