Buy some soupSubmitted by DavePed on Fri, 11/02/2007 - 17:34
Today the United States dollar closed at less than 93.5 Canadian cents.
I don't mean to alarm anyone but this may get worse. Soup may well prove to be worth more than gold or guns in the first few weeks of a collapse. Everyone should have plenty of it stocked up. It should be marked with the date of purchase and you can eat the oldest and replace it with fresh supply.
Don't plan on having electricity or heat. If the power grid is shut down by the economic turmoil there will be a sudden and nearly complete loss of transportation not only of people but of goods. Grocery stores may be cleaned out in a matter of hours by panicking citizens. You don't want to have to obtain foodstuffs once this happens you want them already in your possession. You don't want to have to "go out there" for any reason, meaning outside your home. It may become terribly chaotic.
There is more than one way to stop the freedom movement. If there is enough reason to allow the market to take over the reigns before it is necessary they will opt to do just that.
Sorry for the frightening nature of this post but it is better to be forewarned of the possibilities.
Many of you are fully aware of this already. I do not presume to be saying anything new or different. However the extent of the dollar devaluation is something we all should keep a close eye on..
