Urge Nader to have Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura in his cabinet!!!
I know many people on the DP hate Nader and don't want to vote for him. Well he is polling nationally right now at 6% with practically zero media coverage! He shares half of RP's platform and is the best choice left. Let's mass e-mail the Nader/Gonzales team and let them know that they will get our support if they are willing to appoint RP and Jesse V into their cabinet. Jesse V is a perfect sec of defense. Ron Paul sec of treasury! C'mon people, realize that this is our best shot for solving at least some of Americas most serious problems. Nader only needs 10% to get in the Google debate and will slaughter McStain and Oblahma! Can we get 4 more percent? Or would all of us like to bitch and moan that our perfect ideological system of government didn't come to reality, while the economy collapses and millions die in the middle east? Get real! Accomplish SOMETHING!!! Work out the details later. PEACE. I love you all.
The Case for Each Candidate
In 2004, Pat Buchanan's "The American Conservative" magazine (which this year endorsed Ron Paul in the primaries leading up to Super Tuesday) had an editorial that made a case for each of the candidates. They were all written from the libertarian/old-right-conservative/Ron Paul-like viewpoint. I don't agree, of course, with the conclusions of most of the endorsements, but I thought the numerous endorsements were certainly interesting as they were intended by the magazine: an academic exercise, as how each candidate could be supported by various persons all with similar philosophies, even though the candidates themselves were of much different philosophies:

It is not hard at all to compare each of these endorsements to the current election. Obviously, McCain is running for Bush's third term. If you liked Bush, you'll love McCain. And some very devoted RP supporters--even maxed out donors--that I know will hold their noses and vote for McCain (oh the humanity!). A Kerry endorsement translates pretty well to Obama. Obviously Nader and Peroutka/Baldwin carry over pretty nicely to 2008. A 2004 endorsement for Badnarik does not translate quite so well to Barr in 2008, possibly.
Anyway, it is my opinion that very reasonable people, and very committed RP supporters, can come to reasonable and rational arguments for various ways of voting this fall. Me? I'm leaning toward writing in RP, but if that is not possible, then I will vote for Baldwin. I voted for him for VP in '04 and had no "buyer's remorse". However, I feel the most satisfaction and knowledge of "doing the best thing" will come by casting my general election ballot for Ron Paul, however I can do that. Voting for RP in my primary this past winter was one of the proudest moments of my civic life.

You can't win an election with 6% of the vote! No Third Party is likely to win this year, so if you vote Third Party, vote your conscience.
I'm voting for Chuck Baldwin. I don't care whether or not he can equal the whopping six percent Barr or Nader get. He's closest to Ron Paul's belief system, and that's why I'm voting for him.

A lot of Obama's supporters are looking at Ralph now that Oblahma is starting to show his flip-flopping ways. At least the far left is moving away from the establishment oligarchy! One step at a time is the way to go. These leftists are not going to go for Baldwin, plain and simple. Stop dreaming. Are you pro-life Kevin. Well, maybe God needs us to show it by compromising and ending the bloodshed in the middle east first. Yes abortion is gross, but it has been indoctrinated into this society for years and years, just like racism in the past. You can't break that spell overnight, but you must first make friends with those you'd like to change. but Nader will be! Here's what you do, you mark Nader's box just for laughs and then write in Ron Paul too. They won't count the write in but at least someone would get your vote instead of the wind.

If you mark two candidates, your entire ballot will be thrown out. Including your votes for other races, possibly (probably), depending on local/state laws.

Nader obviously has the most support of any alternate candidate right now and shopuld be on at least 45 ballots this November! There is no money to "give back" to us --- it is gone, just as if it had been burned. All of "our" money in the Social (In)Security so-called "trust fund", and everywhere else in the system, is a fiction and does not exist. The best we can hope for is to stop the ongoing theft.

I'm not for the public schools or hospitals either!
That's not my point. You don't have to be for these institutions. But you can't just shut everything down overnight! It will be a lengthy transition period electing RP like candidates here and there and promoting the free market along the way. That's what I want! Right now though none of us have any real freedom. We have to use the confused or misguided on the left to our advantage by breaking the bonds of the ruling elite. As the years go on we can educate people in a kind way of the benefits of total liberty. It is a strategy. The only one that can possibly break the stranglehold of the establishent power.
