Senate just passed FISA

The Senate just passed FISA. I say throw every Senator and Congressman who voted for this bill out of office.

i agree we need to start to

i agree we need to start to impeach our representitives- we need our grand jury's to iinvestigate and indight our public officials who choose to be corrupt.

This weekend at the Iowa

This weekend at the Iowa State republican convention, there was much talk about the Second Amendment. We got a plank into the platform that supported repealing all gun control laws. As you would expect, we raised the roof with all the applause.

Politicians were there, and Congressman King made much ado about following the Constitution. He even held up his copy of the Constitution to show us all. But for all the Constitutional show, there was no mention of the Fisa vote just 3 days earlier. Nor did he mention that he, Congressman Latham, and Senator Grassley had voted to gut the Fourth Amendment. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=s2008-168
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h2008-437

Other than their support for the Second Amendment the republicans had little to say about their dismal record of violating our Constitutional rights these past seven years.

And the really sad thing is, not one republican delegate I talked with knew one thing about this Fisa bill.... Not One thing.

Red Herring...

... it's a device, as you learned.

The term "red herring" originates from the tradition whereby young hunting dogs in Britain were trained to follow a scent with the use of a "red" (salted and smoked) herring. This pungent fish would be dragged across a trail until the puppy learned to follow the scent. Later, when the dog was being trained to follow the faint odor of a fox or a badger, the trainer would drag a red herring (which has a much stronger odor) across the animal's trail at right angles.

The good news in this tradition of training hunting dogs is that the dog would eventually learn to follow the original scent rather than the stronger distracting scent.

This dog will hunt.

This deserves to be on the front page.

Everyone should read this link. Thanks LibBerte.

I Took It From The Front Page

I just thought it was getting lost and made a point relevant here.

Make no mistake, Goose Stepping in its most overt forms is happening and will become even more common place. But this poster articulates important ideas about how the fascist game is played. This is why 2nd Amendment cards can be played whenever the powers that be want to distract. They can give ground without loosing position. Charlatans can play the fools. As integral as the Second Amendment is to our American scheme of liberty, it has become tangential politically, at best. At worst it is a politically dangerous tail wagged under the nose of puppies.

The Solution

hawhiye,

Called Senator Crapo's office and informed the young man that answered the phone to please inform the Senator that I was withdrawing all my support for the Senator now and in the future. The guy was shocked. I informed him that this was the straw that broke the camels back by Senator Crapo's failure to uphold his Oath of Office to Protect and Defend the Constitution and had to take full responsibility for ushering in another page in the Police State. I also stated that I would inform all family members and friends to do the same and to inform their family and friends to do the same.

I fully expect a call from Mike as he knows me and my past 20+ years of political activity in Idaho.

I would suggest that all members here do the same and call the office of their Senator if they voted for this bill stating that they will do the same.

Voluntary Association + Mutual Cooperation + 110% Personal Responsibility = 100% Individual Liberty

Voluntary Association + Mutual Cooperation + 110% Personal Responsibility = 100% Individual Liberty

The Solution!

Did you expect anything less? Are you tired of this yet? Are you truly tired of this? If so are you ready to do something that will and is making a difference right now?

I have been seeing this for 30 years and complained about it just the same to no avail. The solution is as G. Edward Griffin puts it; “to come to power” begging other people to do the right thing has not and will never work.

Dr Paul has given us the solution, and many of us have tested it and found that it works and it works very well. “Take Back the Republican Party”! We here in Idaho and many other states have proven it works!

Our only problem is not enough patriots having stepped up to do it. This is why we must quit scattering our energies to the fours winds and come to a single minded focus, resolve and effort with everyone on the same page. We must stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

All the 3rd party recruiting, prideful refusal to get involved with the Republican Party, because we don’t like what they are doing now, and independent directions have done absolutely nothing to stem the tied of this sort of thing. It in fact has allowed it to perpetuate with no end in site.

We can no longer sit back and scatter our focus in a million directions and expect change. This is what patriots have been doing for 30 years and it hasn’t made damn bit of difference. We must take the straight albeit sometimes unpleasant course of joining the Republican Party and taking the reins instead of begging them and the Democrats to do the right things. Those that hope for Bob Bar or Chuck Baldwin to suddenly take the country by storm are not facing the reality of the controlled media. Which is ironic after we have seen what they did to Dr. Paul? Bar and Baldwin are a waste of time and energy and weaken our efforts by dividing us that is the reality.

So if you're really serious about changing this country and securing the blessings of freedom to ourselves and our posterity then swallow your pride and come to where the battle is raging and which right now it is the Republican Party and get in the fight. And be thankful we don’t have a hot revolution like our founders did and we don’t have to make the same level of sacrifices they did to return to and secure those blessings they fought so hard for!

Yes...................

DIGG this for all its worth.

I know that my neocon reps voted for it.

Floods of letters, via Congress.org, demanding that they vote against it. Tells me who they "don't" represent. It makes me consider that H.L Mencken was too much of an optimist regarding the nature of politicians.

If they want to listen in on my calls that will be fine. I dont care. Why is this such a big deal. I dont mind at all giving up some liberties to be safer. Its working by the way."

What did you encounter on your travels for this latest video that surprised you?

The degree to which our right to free and peaceable assembly has eroded in the U.S. You need to get permission to gather large numbers of people in any public place, and the tendency is not to give it — for a variety of reasons, and to be fair some of them are pretty understandable. Basically, liability supersedes civil liberty in the modern world.

I was stunned that we were forbidden to meet in front of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C. The Department of Parks and Recreation was not interested in hearing why Jefferson's involvement in crafting the Bill of Rights made their policy ironic.

[The Washington, D.C., Department of Parks and Recreation says it is unable to grant permissions for the Jefferson Memorial because that falls within the domain of the National Park Service.]

The DP is proof that the grassroots support for Ron Paul and his peaceful message of individual liberty is large, real, and not going away!

Contact Oboma's web site; DON”T BLAME US, WE VOTED FOR RON PAUL

Oboma’s 20,000 strong web site, asked him NOT to vote for FISA, but he did anyway.

Let’s all bombard their web site asking them for help, to rid us of Oboma before he becomes President and does even more damage to our Republic. Be polite, but plug Ron Paul’s 20 year fight for liberty.

If we can win over this crowd, we will have accomplished a miracle. Let’s go for it!

Our slogan should be: DON”T BLAME US, WE VOTED FOR RON PAUL!

Obama has just shown his supporters what an Obama Presidency will look like. I hope they get it.

What Do You Mean?

That was the "change" he's been talking about all along...

What filibuster?

Weren't there some senators who declared that they would absolutely stand in the way of this bill's passage by use of filibuster???

Hm, guess they forgot.

A minimum of 41 Nay votes required

to filibuster this bill into oblivion. It wasn't even close.

They realize

that with an approval rating in single-digits, that any of them up for election this cycle are in trouble already anyway.

I think the idea was to do as much damage as possible before they get tossed.

There is no possible way to even think that this gov't is in any way trustworthy, for ANYTHING at all.
The fact that they try to sell themselves to us for "security" is the most laughable thing I've ever heard. I wouldn't trust them to clean my toilet.

Oh, and where are the "Hanlon's Razor" proponents now?
I suppose they think that this is just ineptitude, right?
No malice here. Riiiiiiiiiiighhht.
