Not my party!!! I gave it the good try and you guys rejected the best potential President we could have ever had. But you will lose big time. I will not be voting for Obama and obviously I'm not voting for your "maverick" (oh how I hate that term), but I will be happy to see Obama win over McSame. As for me I'm back to the LP where I belong. I will proudly cast my vote for Barr, while at the same time saying, FU Republicans!

I am just scared mainly, as someone who is on government assistance to survive I want to be sure someone will take care of my benefits. I earned them and do not want a tax cutter in office. I need tax payers to help the government pay for my food and medicine. I was made a promise and it needs to be kept - I did my part.

MY vote
Absolutely no one will tell me how to vote. I have NEVER thrown away my vote - not once since 1971. I am a libertarian and I vote libertarian or nota. I changed parties to the GOP in order to vote for the Doc in the primary. If most repubs were like Dr. Paul, I'd be a republican, but they are not. I felt sick after changing my party - like a needed a shower, but I did it for the cause. A few days after the primary, I filed the proper form to change back to the LP. Whew!

I know a lot of Ron Paul supporters, since I've been actively involved. I can guarantee you that none of the ones I know would vote for McCain.
Would you vote for Adolf Hilter if he was your nominee? I guess that shows where your loyalty is.
My loyalty is primarily directed to doing the right thing, and any party loyalty would be secondary.
The GOP is the one who fled
from the platform and principles it was supposed to stand for! Here you have a large contingent of intelligent, caring and very active Conservative Republicans ( some which are new and some from 3rd parties) and you chose to ignore and do everything possible from letting our voices be heard. We will be heard and we will not give up... but we cannot in good conscience abandon our principles and vote for McCain.
It is not going to happen..I believe I speak for most here..if not Dr. Paul then we will be writing in or we will be voting third party. Period.

How is Mccain conservative? He doesn't even have a political philosophy. Although a great many RP supporters are indeed Republicans, luckily, those in the r3volution aren't tied to phony concepts like "party" as others may be. We recklessly tie ourselves to a document called the Constitution -- you can read it right here if you feel so inclined. Let us know if you need help with the big words.
The good news is, you have a choice, too!! The republicans have lost their way, and I am bringing them back to their roots by not voting for them so they get deservedly trounced in this election. With that beating they are going to receive their only choice will go back to their true conservative positions. Can you please tell me the party's platform and values, and then proceed to tell me your political values and philosophy.

Republicans are SUPPOSED to be conservative. They are no longer conservative. I am a Laissez-faire capitalist that believes in individual rights, not a Republican. Help Barr Do It
Well, you can look at another scenario that can help us understand our current situation. Lets say we had been at an all day cook-out and were far from home. We don't have a car. There are four acquaintances who have also been at the cookout and are ready to depart. Ron gave us a ride to the cookout but he told us beforehand that if he had urgent business he would not be able to give us a ride back. He informs us that unfortunately things have come us and he will not be able to give us a ride. There are two other fellows, Barack and John, who are both encouraging us to go with them in their cars. But both are obviously very drunk. There is another fellow, Bob, who also offers us a ride. He used to be an alcoholic but he has turned himself around and hasn't had a drink all day. Should we trust Bob or walk? Bob Barr is at 6% nationwide in the latest Zogby poll. He has changed his views on issues for the better so that he is in agreement with Ron Paul on about 90% of them. If Barr can get 10% in three polls then he meets the criteria for inclusion in the first debate, sponsored by Google in September. Lets help Bob Barr get into that debate and speak out to the American people about how a greatly reduced Government and much expanded individual liberty can help us restore peace and prosperity. Let freedom grow, lets help Bob Barr help freedom grow.
Risk and influence
Right now Ron Paul is currently a senior member of I think every financial committee in the House. If he ran 3rd party he would be reduced to a junior member and if he didn't win well that would be extra extra bad.
