I really don't know where this animosity towards the troops is coming from. If it is from couch or computer chair bound basement dwellers then I have to chuckle a little bit. Get out and breathe some fresh air and go for a walk or jog to clear your minds and focus. We are Americans,,,,and what I've said before is true. You have no idea about the mindset of the military unless you are actually serving with us. It is just like everywhere else. The people I work with are disgusted and fed up with the status quo and most don't want either candidate. There are a lot of Ron Paul supporters (although someone stole my Ron Paul magnetic off the car Friday) and others who are extremely receptive to Ron Paul's message once they've asked "Who is Ron Paul?" and hear what he is all about.
We never went through any robotic conditioning or anything like that. I know the Marines go through a much more intensive training, but I cannot see them breaking into American homes either. We still think for ourselves, and better yet....we all still realize that we are American.
You should not be worried about us...you should be more worried about the private armies being used, or the possibility of foreign activity in some shape or form.
I'm confident that if some serious situation occurs your fellow Americans will be with you.
Unless something apocalyptic happens the only way we can fight this problem is to vote them all out of office and replace them with true patriots who will carry out the will of We the People.
All of this division and blamemongering only furthers the will and agenda of the powers that be.

This is not isolated to military.
That's a sick video, but idiots like that are not isolated to the military, there are kids like that in almost every town, putting firecrackers up kittens butts, setting animals on fire, shooting cows in pastures hundreds of times with small caliber rifles until they finally bleed to death, abusing and beating up homeless people, and even killing each other.
The symptoms are not isolated to the military, in fact, they are much worse outside the military. It's only more offensive when we see it coming from the military.
These symptoms are a sign of a sick society, and are not specific to the military at all.
I've seen much much worse done by "hometown" kids.

thank you...and ive explained this once already today oddly enough..i went to iraq the first time and saw good things..the second time i went they wanted us gone..and i'll never go back again..
the reason i went the first time was that i was lied to just like everybody else,i didnt know any better..the second time was the same..though i did see more that they didnt want us there..now that im more educated i know why we are there and you could never get me to go back..yes some if not alot of our military members still feel that we're doing the right thing but not all of us...some maybe so-called sheep only because they feel they must do what they're told..but thats imbedded into us from boot camp...but i see the main reason being ignorance..people dont know why we are there and dont know that they can stop themselves from going..i personally would rather take the punishent than to go back...keep in mind that most of the people in the military are very young..they have alot of learning to do...i risked my life for a lie..lets just try to stop other kids from making the same mistake...

The troops do defend our freedoms when put to proper use. If it was not for troops, America would not exist.
Troops do as they are told. The resposibility to make sure they are defending our freedoms lies with Congress and the President.
So if you want to say anyone is not defending our freedoms, then you must accuse Congress and the President.

America would not exist if it were not for every day normal people who decided to pick up arms and fight for their freedom, along with the help of troops in the end.
No offense to the troops now, but they do not know what defending freedom is, not compared to those who helped fight for the freedom of this country in the beginning.
They fought against tyranny back then. Now they fight for tyrants.
Once again, the problem lies with the tyrants not the troops.
It is the "tyrants" or leaders that make the decisions, and therefore, they are to blame and must be held responsible and accountable for their orders.
You have to understand, in the military you follow orders or the whole system breaks down. That's why if you don't follow orders you are punished. It's not the same as being a civilian.
Yes, if are in the military and there is an order that is directed at you personally that is wrong or violates the Constitution, you have a duty to object on those grounds.
But otherwise, military discipline requires that all orders be followed, and then the leaders are held responsible if they were in error.
That's why all military officers are commissioned by Congress.
Officers are not considered "troops" they are held accountable for their men and their orders.

If George Bush ordered…
… the troops and the militarized police to break into our homes and kill us while we sleep at 3:00AM (including men, women and children), they would do EXACTLY that. If you think otherwise you'd be sadly mistaken. The military has conducted countless tests asking the "troops" if they would fire on their own countrymen if so ordered. With few exceptions, their answers were YES. BTW… it's way to late for the 2nd amendment to be of any use. The NWO has the ability to destroy entire cities with nothing more than radio waves (see HAARP). I'm not even sure that throwing all the politicians out of office would even do any good. Somehow, all new elected officials get totally corrupted within a very short time of taking office and start saying and doing the exact same things (exception, Ron Paul.)

There is constantly a thread on here that is in one way or another putting down people who serve in the military as "murderers" and "mindless sheep" and now accusing veterans of working against the cause of freedom.

Well, he's not stating lies...
A study was done that showed those who have been in the military 10 years or less, overwhelmingly said they would fire on fellow citizens. While those who had been in 10 years or more, said they would not.
I think after a while they start to open their eyes and begin thinking more for themselves and understand that not every single order should always be followed, especially when it is dead wrong.
I for one, would like to say to any true patriotic troops that are on this board right now... thank you. We need your help badly. I understand that you don't have a whole lot of options other than to follow orders in your day to day lives. But at least you know if that one day ever comes, there are orders that you absolutely will not follow.

Most soldiers would fire on American citizens if ordered to do so and if those citizens were doing something that warranted that level of force (e.g. an armed mob marching to overthrow the government by violent means).
Almost no one in the military would slaughter civilians just because "ordered to do so." In fact, soldiers are trained to NOT follow an unlawful order such as "break into that house and shoot the children."

That's the problem...
Didn't our founding fathers basically "march on the capitol to overthrow the government by violent means"? And weren't they completely justified in doing so? And just like the troops would be now, the government troops back then were there to try and stop their abusive government from being overtaken and returned to the people.

The Founders were against
standing armies for this very reason. They knew we would end up in trouble if standing armies were allowed. I also suspect they knew they would be used against us at some point. Having lived by example. They wanted all of us to be the force to be reckoned with, that's why they gave us the 2nd amendment. They knew if ever a need be, we would rise up to defend our country. We may give them hope yet. Dont count us down and out just yet. There comes a point when we out number them, there also comes a point when they change sides to prevent the notion of being considered a traitor. At some point they will figure out they dont want to be in the crossfire, when it becomes too risky. There is true power in numbers.
Well, my niece did several tours over in
Iraq...I am sure the Troops went over with the idea in their hearts that they were defending our Country, and I support them for that, respect them for that, consider every one of them a hero for that......one thing that really bugs me is this: How are we supposed to buy into this "war on terror".....when our own borders are wide open? This I do not understand......
