Dow in 10,000 territory holy hell!

Well, a few months ago I sold my s&p 500 index mutual fund but kept my international stocks thanks to you guys and peter schiff.
Shares of washington mutual are down 35% which may mean in may become the next indymac. Gold prices and silver have jumped quite a bit in the last few weeks but I really want to get more money into them.
What percentage are you folks putting into silver and gold?

Gold, Silver....Lead

You can't eat it, so value is in the eye of the beholder. Make sure your preparations run along the more practical lines. Start stocking up on food, water purification, fuel, batteries, etc. You know the drill (although most won't heed the message)

10,000 is pyschological barrier

From what I have read on urban survival and other sites today, the dow breaking past the 11,000 is a significant psychological barrier in their minds and will cause further downward pressure in the stock market.
Its terrible to see that what we have all researched and warned each other about is coming true but the fact that the people in this community saw it coming also tells us we're smarter than most wall street mouthpieces. I'm 21 so I 'm hopeful, for after we get through this hopefully I'll be able to spot this happen if it ever happens again.
Has anyone found any decent mining stock etf's or mutual funds that focus on precious metals? I'm not confident in putting my money in single stocks i prefer the basket approach.

It is climbing

again in 11,000 range now. This is like spinning a bottle deciding what to do.
My house is paid for and I couldn't sell it because no one is buying so my decision is to stay. Would have loved to move to the country but it ain't happening. Thought about getting a small rv with the bed and kitchen just in case the area gets dangerous after the economy falls. Not sure if this is a good idea. Any one have any ideas on this? Peace

%

My cash reserves are: 33% silver/gold in possession. 67% high quality money market mutual fund. Local checking in a well-rated bank - minimal.

Retirement portfolio: 70% gold and precious metals mining companies through top-rated mutual funds. 10% money market, and 20% top international mutual funds.

I consider this retirement allocation to be very, very risky, but I've placed my 'bet'. As the market goes lower, I'm adding to the international position and to my non-retirement cash. Also continuing the purchase of silver on a weekly basis.

Over the past year, I've also 'invested' in 10 times the food and water storage I've ever had in my life. I'm installing a wood stove to heat my home and office and I'm going to be getting in 2 years worth of wood this summer.

excellent! food water and

excellent! food water and firewood are also highly wanted assets at this time!
